The company’s current workload comes from several sectors, but they are very strong within the Education, Commercial, Residential, Health and Leisure sectors and have a proven track record of delivering projects ranging from £10m to £50m. Workload is secured via framework agreements, negotiated repeat work and competitive tendering and you will be working as part of a work winning team where you will lead the design management aspect to ensure the project is value engineered to maximise ‘best price’. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for an established, Regional Main Contractor based in Harrow, North West London / Middlesex, who are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator to work alongside the Commercial Director. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the position will be working closely with the Managing Director and Commercial Director; and you will be responsible for delivering projects from initial tender enquiry through to final account across Residential, Education, Retail, Commercial and Leisure sectors. Projects will consist of refurbishments schemes through to new build projects. Due to increased workload the business is seeking an outstanding Estimator / Senior Estimator to join the team and carry out all Estimating duties including: * Analyse Tender Documents * Prepare Supply Chain Package Enquiries * Identify suitable suppliers and sub-contractors for the project i.e. location / value / experience / ability * Sub-Contractor * Labour Only Sub-Contractor (LOSC) * Suppliers * Issue packages with accurate pricing schedule to allow comparison * Phone suppliers / sub-contractors to check if they are willing to price? * Review and assess tender quotations returned – what is not included, terms, conditions etc. * Prepare Direct items, measure, and price * Mid Tender Review with MD Identify Risk items to focus on at this stage? * Compile tender estimate, and Prelims etc. * Agree level of OHP with MD * Assist with methodology and programme and logistics – identify and provide information for procurement and any ‘special’ requirements. * Assist Bid Co-ordinator with preparing the tender bid submission * Ensure our return is compliant and meets all information requested – assess with SM & Bid Co-ordinator. * Follow through all Post Contract Addendums and Queries * Attend mid-bid and post-tender interviews This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior level construction professional to join a company which has had strong growth over the past 10 years - Turnover for year end March 2021 will be £25m+, they have secured a number of projects recently and are looking to continue their organic growth. Sentri Group are currently working with a privately owned developer who specialise in high specification new build one-off houses. They are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager in Surrey. Super prime 20,000 sq. ft. new build house with high tech state of the art AV smart system, you will be required to take the project from inception through to completion. Reporting directly to Board and will be an integral part business and this project. With the business adopting a free-thinking ethos the client is looking for a Site Manager to take ownership of the scheme and to utilise their expertise in shaping the way the project is delivered. They will be receptive to your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions. Client facing and commercially astute you will be a ‘hands on’ Site Manager capable of delivering substantial schemes to programme and budget. In addition to being a strong communicator, written and verbal, you will build strong working relationships with senior managers, subordinates, sub-contractors, and external consultants. The right candidate will have a stable career history with main contractors and / or residential developers and possess experience of delivering new build residential schemes of distinction. Preference would be professionally qualified with a valid first aid and health and safety accreditation.
