This role Reporting to the Director of Financial Services the Head of Tax will have responsibility for ensuring the Tax Strategy and Tax Policy is adhered to across the MTVH Group. They will provide tax risk management, together with deep, technical expertise across corporation tax, VAT, SDLT and CIS in both an advisory and compliance capacity, ensuring the MTVH Group is fully compliant with all tax laws and regulations. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will have significant and proven tax experience at a senior level (either head of tax or tax director), together with the proven ability to communicate clearly with Board members, senior stakeholders, and explain complex technical issues in plain language. They must have demonstrable ability to exercise judgement in complex tax matters and in negotiating with HMRC. The person will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of tax compliance across the MTVH group, have a demonstrable commitment to quality and leading a small tax team. This role We are recruiting for a Senior Planned Manager to support the Head of Planned Delivery with developing, implementing and delivering our southern region planned works program. You will work with the HoPD to ensure the correct procurement of Supply Chain Management to support internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are planned and delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards. This role The role is to contribute to the day to day maintenance and implementation of all policies and procedures ensuring that all Development Directorate activities are compliant within the governance framework. The job holder will also provide support the submission of bids and grant claims and in all internal and external audits on the development programme. To contribute to the preparation and ongoing maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure ongoing statutory, regulatory and operational compliance of the developments, including (but not exclusive to) Capital Funding Guide, Homes England (HE)/Greater London Authority (GLA) Funding requirements and conditions, Scheme Development Standards and comprehensive scheme audit requirements. Provide support in the submission of bids and grant claims to Homes England and the GLA, including ensuring the relevant documentation is available and compliant. Provide support to all internal and external audits on the development programme and projects, challenging anomalies and ensuring all activities are in compliance with the existing governance framework. Contribute to the regular review of audited projects and raise concerns internally, recommending solutions for compliance purposes. Where necessary support the Policy and Compliance Manager to attend all the LA/funder/internal liaison meetings, conferences and development groups, as requested. Identify gaps within processes and procedures and implement improvements to achieve greater efficiency and contribute to resolving systems and process issues.
