We are looking for a permanent Configuration Engineer in London to work on a new-build Nuclear Power Station project. Experience of Configuration Management and Project Management in the delivery of major infrastructure projects is essential. Salary up to £65,000 per annum. Travel costs for non-local candidates would be considered. We are looking for a permanent Health & Safety Advisor ASAP with IOSH and NEBOSH certificates and CDM knowledge, for a position at the Hinkley Point C construction site in Somerset. Salary up to £50,000 per annum. Working as the successful Health & Safety Advisor, you will have significant HSE experience within a large project setting. You will work as part of a team of Health and Safety Advisors providing the highest standard of advice and support to the HPC CDM Client and Principal Contractor management teams. At the peak the HPC Construction Site will have circa 6000 persons working at any one time. Main responsibilities will include: *Participate in creating, maintaining and improving health and safety in the workplace *Influence the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) on health and safety issues relating to pre-construction planning & project evolution *Develop timely project-based health and safety risk profiles to direct risk-based inspection and other assurance activities *Provide assurance to the Client organisations that Designers and Principal Contractors are complying with their requirements under Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015. *Participate and advise as a subject matter expert in constructability, maintainability and operability reviews *Undertake inspections, carry out accident investigations, keep records and write reports. *Co-ordinate and collate information required for the production of scheduled H & S reports and identify trends and early warnings of possible issues and recommend appropriate action. *Carry out audits of construction activities on site to ensure that the requirements set out in the construction phase plan are adhered to. *Provide advice on the interpretation and application of the H & S management system. We are looking for a number of Civil Construction Managers, at all levels, with good backgrounds in installation & delivering large Civils projects, for permanent positions in Somerset. Salaries are negotiable depending on suitability to the below; Travel and Subsistence for non-locals would be considered for this role also. You will have an SMSTS or IOSH certificate. These roles are Construction Delivery Manager positions working on Hinkley Point C so nuclear experience would be advantageous but it is not essential and could be off-set by experience on large Civil Engineering projects from other highly regulated industries. The Construction Delivery Manager will support the delivery of an area within a specific section of the Works. This responsibility extends to all construction and related activities, reporting to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager and includes logistics planning and implementation in collaboration with the site wide logistics team, programming and planning, monitoring and close out of authorities' obligations and conditions and client liaison. Main Accountabilities: *Support the contract partners in their delivery of the works packages to enable efficient delivery of their sections of works. *Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns. Follow up by taking appropriate and proportionate action (e.g. issue communications, call meetings) to avoid the cessation of works. This includes but is not limited to review of documents, assurance audits etc. *Monitor works on site and input into the construction daily report to ensure information is reported up through the organisation to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager and escalate any issues/concerns via detailed reports. *Proactively communicate/co-ordinate with other site teams (H&S, contract, project controls, logistics) and Construction Delivery Managers to maintain good communication links, and ensure activity is well and timely reported. This will also include attendances at pre-start briefings and supporting the delivery of key messages to the contractor's organisation. *Attend PLOD/PLOW meetings with the contractor, ensure outputs are recorded and issued to the SCDM. *Undertake safety and/or assurance inspections that support the project HSPI's. *Ensure clear, two-way communication with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager so that all activity and issues are directed appropriately. We are looking for an experienced Document Controller, who is able to work autonomously without supervision or support for a permanent position at Hinkley Point C near Bridgwater in Somerset. Salary up to circa £40,000 per annum depending on experience. Working as the successful Document Controller, you will have a good understanding of document and data management principles and you will be able to learn to use different tools. This role is a member of a large integrated team seconded into the end Client team focused on providing high quality design, engineering knowledge & expertise. This team is in charge of all the issues regarding design provided for the Nuclear Island and the Conventional Island. This would suit someone who is autonomous, self-motivated, able to learn for themselves and can problem solve with little support. Who has a good understanding of document and data management principles and can learn to use different tools. Who is tenacious and will chase down the engineers to get the input from them. The Document Controller main activities will be: *Participate in the definition of the documentation management processes for our Client and the HPC project. *Provide support for the management of documents using the electronic document management system. *Check the quality of documents to ensure they meet the Project and Company Standards. *Ensure the correct distribution of deliverables and project documentation. *Problem solve documentation process issues. *Manage document storage and archiving. *Train engineers in document management processes and tools. *Provide input to key performance indicators (KPIs) produced by central project controls. *Provide performance reports and KPIs to the Clients UK Management. *Provide support to the travel management and site access (vetting). *Provide support for the use of some electronic tools. The Document Controller position is based on site at Hinkley Point C Monday to Friday for 40 hours per week. Travel and Subsistence weekly allowance would be paid for this role (not paid if residing in the Bridgwater area) - £205.00 per week (receipted expenses). We are looking for a number of Construction Delivery Managers with good backgrounds in installation & delivering large, complex, MEH (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC) services or Civils projects, for permanent positions in Somerset paying c£45-50kpa and c£60kpa for Senior Construction Delivery Managers (who will manage teams of Construction Delivery Managers). You will have an SMSTS or IOSH certificate. These roles are working on Hinley Point C so nuclear experience would be advantageous but it is not essential and could be off-set by experience within large Civil Engineering/Building/MEH projects. Working as one of the successful Construction Delivery Managers, the team will provide support to Buildings & Civils - Project Management & delivery of Building and Civil Work on the main construction site. Specific work packages include: *Earthworks *Main Civil Works *Marine Works *Heat Sink *Project management & co-ordination of multi-disciplinary team to deliver scope The Construction Delivery Manager will assist tactical logistics planning for individual works sections in support of the work completed on strategic logistics. Thereafter, they will be responsible for the detailed planning and implementation, in collaboration with the rest of the HPC Delivery Team and Senior Construction Delivery Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: *Acting as a subject matter expert in their area of expertise (Civil or MEH), support the contract partners in their delivery of the works packages to enable efficient delivery of their sections of works. *Provide support to the Construction Delivery Manager's by recommending temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns. Follow up by taking appropriate and proportionate action (e.g. issue communications, call meetings) to avoid the cessation of works. This includes but is not limited to review of documents, assurance audits etc. *Drive works on site and ensure contractor performance is in line with the agreed programme, intervene. Escalate concerns to the Area Construction Lead and provide solutions to recover/mitigate following dialogue with the contractor. Essential experience: *Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction management, or equivalent vocational training. *Relevant industry experience, within an MEH (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC) installation & delivery environment. *Experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery plans and resource allocation. *Good understanding of the post holder's obligations under CDM Regulations. *Working knowledge in the delivery of projects. *Ability to write informative, concise and meaningful reports. *Motivate and energise contract partners by building a climate of trust and understanding and actively seeking alternative views and opinions. *Excellent organisation and communication skills. *SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder. *Collaborate with other managers to effectively manage operations of the site. *Adopt a results-focused mind set, using initiative wherever possible and taking personal responsibility and accountability to ensure necessary action is taken to deliver excellence, value and quality. *Ability to work under pressure. *Ability to manage multiple stakeholders. *MS office proficient. *English fluent - written & verbal. French would be a bonus, but is nor essential.
