Synopsis: Due to continuing success, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit an Environmental Consents professional to join their team. The role would suit a candidate with a strong background in environmental compliance with specific expertise in water & flood risk, and actual experience liaising with the Environment Agency. About you: You will be an experienced environmental professional, with excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills. You will have experience liaising with the Environment Agency and Leading Local Flood Authorities and obtaining consents under the Environmental Permitting Regs or similar regime under an Act of Parliament e.g. HS2 Act or Crossrail Act, Development Consent Order or Transport and Works Act Order. The role will involve ensuring that all necessary Schedule 33 of the HS2 Act, and other water resources and flood risk related approvals needed for the construction and operation of HS2, are obtained on time. Where works are outside limits of the HS2 Act consent would be needed under the normal Environmental Permitting regime. You will need experience managing environmental consents on major infrastructure or development schemes, with a robust knowledge of current legislation. Due to a substantial pipeline of work and planned team expansion they are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join the property team delivering high fee projects across the south of England. This role requires a Chartered Building Surveyor with extensive experience in pre-acquisition surveys, who is commercially minded and client facing. The successful Building Surveyor will need to demonstrate a detailed understanding of building regulations and the ability to sign off on RICS EWS1 forms. The role will also require you to lead various engagement meetings to ensure the successful delivery of the planning consent process. You will also coordinate internal divisions across environment, planning and construction and will have a planning consents assistant reporting to you. To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate experience of securing planning consents and compliance within infrastructure or construction projects A good knowledge of civil engineering practices and working to programmes A town planning degree and full membership of the RTPI.
