As a result of growing demand, we’re looking for a permanent nightshift Site Supervisor to manage the Safe & Efficient delivery of direct and subcontracted works. Ensuring all reporting requirements and management of Client expectations & contractual requirements are met. Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful Site Supervisor will initially support schemes in the Eastern region supervising highway maintenance works and delivery within the National Highways East Region network (Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex). You will demonstrate a robust knowledge and experience in working on the Highways England road networks, with experience in the Management of Road marking delivery and VRS works. The role will be required to work predominantly at night when Access to the network under traffic management is allowed. The Ideal CandidateThe perfect candidate will have extensive supervisory experience - you’ll be extremely knowledgeable when it comes to highways/civils construction. It would be ideal if you hold a FISS card (VRS) but this is not essential. You’ll have good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to general civil engineering and be to produce and explain accurate plans and drawings

About the Role We are looking for a Fleet Compliance Administrator on a fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave. Although the role can currently be worked remotely, you’ll be based in our corporate office in Rowfant, Crawley Down. You’ll be the central point of contact across our business for all company car related queries, you’ll manage the fuel card admin process and produce the dashboard reports for the business. You’ll be responsible for managing fleet compliance data, managing the pool car fleet, issuing and managing fuel cards, raising purchase orders and updating fleet management systems. Part of the role is also to manage the development and workload of an administrator in the team. You’ll be part of a wider team essentially in a standalone role. About you To succeed in this role, you’ll need an excellent attention to detail, have great time management skills and be organised enough to keep multiple plates spinning on a day to day basis. Previous experience of working in a fleet admin/compliance role would be an advantage but it’s not essential. If you have experience of working with systems including Jaama, JDE and CODA, then great but we can overcome that with training and support. You should have strong Microsoft Excel skills and be comfortable working with complex formulae, pivot tables, charts and able to analyse and manipulate data from multiple sources. You’ll need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, you should be a strong and effective communicator and of course be a team player. About the Role We are currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a fixed term contract until March 2021 to work on site at our compound within Durham University. The Quantity Surveyor will effectively carry out quantity surveying duties for the Durham University project. Ensuring that all commercial matters of the project including procurement, risk, cost and value reporting, forecasting and contractual matters managed effectively and in line with Colas’ governance, policies and procedures. About the Role Our Central regional operations are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support to the Central Operations team. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will effectively support a number of projects through the provision of commercial activities in the pre and post tender phases of projects. To provide accurate and timely commercial reports and advise the bid management and senior management team whilst monitoring contracts and reporting against the appropriate commercial targets. Ensuring that projects are effectively managed in line with Colas’ governance, policies and procedures. We test our products on site in our Lab to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. About the role You will perform quality control sampling and testing of asphalt and drystone production in accordance with quality standards and other written or verbal protocols and report test results in a timely fashion.
