Our client is a leading grounds maintenance provider, they are currently looking to expand their team on a full-time, permanent basis with the recruitment for a Contract Manager to lead a successful team across the Manchester, Lancashire, and surrounding areas. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are carried out on time, to the specification of the contract, ensuring key objectives are met, client relationships are maintained along with Health and Safety as a priority. You will be responsible to monitor the performance of the teams under your remit, and drive productivity and safe working practices in all that you do, and act as a mentor for all teams and their individuals. This is an opportunity to be an integral part of a leading service provider. The successful applicant must have similar management experience with proven leadership skills, ideally within the grounds maintenance industry. You will be required to deliver exceptional service, achieve targets, whilst building and maintaining relationships. You will thrive on challenges and have the capability to manage multiple workstreams. Good IT systems are software skills along with a good level of commercial awareness is required. A full driving licence is essential. In return, our client offers a starting salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, a full company vehicle, 33 days holiday, including bank holidays along with pension and life assurance

As a Contract Supervisor, you will be the first point of contact for support and assistance on the job. You will have a proven track record within a similar supervisory role, ideally within the ground's maintenance arena. You will be required to build relationships with a wide range of people, including the public, therefore communication skills are imperative. This is an opportunity to be an integral part of a leading service provider. The successful applicant must have similar management experience with a proven track record. Job Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Manchester We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a leading National Utilities and infrastructure business working from their offices in Manchester. Our client deliver and maintain essential water, gas, electricity and telecommunications supplies to millions of customers across the UK on a daily basis. This role will be working in the Civils and Infrastructure area. Key accountability's: * Review Commercial processes to ensure they stay relevant and make recommendations for necessary changes * Contractual knowledge to communicate with relevant parties ensure understanding the terms of project/contract * Work efficiently and calmly to tight deadlines or other stress factors as they arise. * Ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements * Implement commercial processes to ensure contractual entitlements are realised. * Support the operational team in daily commercial and contractual aspects * Ensuring proper contractual administration of contract/project assigned, including value and cost control, and maintenance of contemporaneous records * Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost to allow prompt issue of Application for payment/invoice in line with contractual timescales * Ensure change control process is managed effectively, including production of Early Warnings/Variations, maximising entitlement * Preparation of financial statements in respect to projects/contracts assigned, working with operational teams to confirm understanding of financial position, proactively instilling commercial awareness throughout the wider business * Support development of individuals within the commercial team * Accepts extra duties as situations arise * Management of Subcontract Accounts including raising Subcontractor Orders and Negotiating Subcontract terms * Compensation Event Management -Entitlement, Valuation & Submission * Procurement Support Skills: * Degree Educated in Quantity Surveying or another relevant degree but experience and other qualifications are also considered * 4 Years + Commercial Experience * RICS accredited (Desirable) * Full Drivers Licence and own transport

We are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within a busy Power department. Key responsibilities of the role will include: * Production of monthly accounting, costing, contract, management, and financial information. * Monitor analyse and report on the bill of quantities, specification and contractual implications of ongoing and new projects. * Liaise with the client regarding costing information, highlighting, and managing any variations to cost or specification. * Liaise with the client regarding the development and follow-up business including the provision of quotes on minor works. * Assist the Contracts Manager in the preparation of tender enquiries, responses and the determination of the Company’s charging structures. The successful candidate will have gained extensive experience in the role of SQS within a rail contracting environment and hold a tertiary qualification in quantity surveying or construction. You will also be ambitious with a desire to develop yourself and the quantity surveying function. Opportunities for future development and growth will be available for the right candidate. You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, with a minimum level of supervision. Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are required for this role.
