You should be able to take responsibility and ownership for statutory inspections under your delegated area and keep records ensuring all are compliant with current legislation.
The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative is essential and you will be expected to provide a flexible and efficient service to cover a wide range of mechanical and electrical plant and equipment in varied locations. Should you have an in-depth knowledge of complex domestic water and heating, and ventilation systems would be a huge advantage.
Essential Qualifications are City and Guilds apprenticeship or equivalent course in Mechanical Engineering and Multiskilling in electrical to a minimum of NVQ2 or equivalent.
This is a permanent role, full time hours of 37.5 hours per week, on a rotating shift pattern

You will be based at a cement works in Cauldon, Waterhouses. This is a physical role involving manual handling and working outdoors. Your main duties will include (but will not be limited to) operating a Disab vacuum hose, manual cleaning of industrial materials using various tools and techniques and working in confined or restricted spaces such as pipes.
A successful applicant will need to be hard-working, willing to get stuck in and not averse to working outdoors. Due to the nature of the business, my client is extremely high focused on health & safety so a CSCS Card will be essential. A FLT licence would also be an advantage but isn't essential.
Our client also offers 20 days holiday per year which is paid at an average of your normal wages including overtime plus 8 paid bank holidays. You will also receive performance bonus twice a year.
Working hours are Monday - Friday 07.00 - 17.00 with optional overtime available.

The Person

The Experience
