The role & about the client: On behalf of our client, ITS Building People (Southampton) have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join a Bespoke Developer in Berkshire. Key Responsibilities - The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to design development, working within a team environment from the project's inception through to its completion. You will need to demonstrate an excellent base level of technical knowledge, including a good working knowledge of the Highways & Drainage, Building Regulations and Planning. Recommend appointment of consultants Control the design process, from planning application through to project completion Ensure consultants prepare detailed design in accordance with our clients Specifications and Standards, Employers Requirement and Contractors Proposals. Manage and review the design development process ensuring value engineering and buildability are considered. To ensure timely registration with warranty providers i.e. NHBC, Robust Details and Building Regulation Application. Drainage Groundworkers required. Experienced Drainage Groundworkers or Drainage gangs are needed. You must have prior Highway works experience and have been in Groundworks for a minimum of 5 years. The job role and the desk: The role will be being part of a busy, fast paced team working with and supporting consultants to identify and fill live job roles using a range of techniques and processes. This will include speaking to the public and training will be provided to develop good communication, organization and general administrative skills. Expected duties: * Advertise live roles by drafting and placing adverts on multiple job boards * Using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships with candidates * Deal with advert response * Source and head hunt candidates * Make outbound calls to candidates to find out availability, generate leads and qualify for roles * Learn and develop a good understanding of candidates, their roles and responsibilities and duties * Fully register candidates checking references, checking qualifications and adhering to compliance. * Learn and use the database to update candidate availability, records and contact history * Answer the phone, take messages and transfer calls to the right consultants * Deal with admin and office systems Essential Qualifications/Experience required: The position is suited to someone motivated, hardworking and confident who is looking to start a progressive career. They must have excellent communication skills including telephone manner and IT skills and the right aptitude and attitude.
