Our client, based in South Wales, is currently recruiting for a Repairs Team Manager on a temporary contract for three months. Our client are a social housing provider who are proud to offer an efficient maintenance service for both planned and reactive works. The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position. The ideal candidate will have experience line managing trade operatives in a Social Housing environment. Duties will include (but not limited to): * Directly line manage a 16 Trades Operatives, one team leader and two schedulers * Plan and co-ordinate reactive and planned maintenance works including kitchen, bathroom and boiler replacements * Monitor and forecast team budgets * Assist in the implementation of a new scheduling system in house and directly manage schedulers * Oversee and ensure team performance, both for out of hours contractors and in house DLO * Utilise in house data to determine future profitability * Organise repairs and improvements on voids properties to ensure an efficient relet * Ensure the Health and Safety of the DLO and management team * Ensure repairs fall in line with WHQS protocols * Take responsibility for the training and development of trade operatives Experience required: Managed Trade Operatives in a Social Housing capacity Understanding of DRS/ Scheduling systems Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Analytical and profit-driven approach to work Understanding of Social Housing protocols and expectations Rewards and Benefits: Flexible working hours Opportunities to work from home Working hours: 35 hours per week Monday - Friday 8am-4pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role. Our client, based in Greater Manchester, is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on a temporary to permanent basis. The position is due to start towards the end of the month on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position. The ideal candidate will have a HNC qualification and minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible. Duties will include (but not limited to): * Working on small to large scale refurbishment projects within the Social Housing Sector of up to half a million in value * Majority of projects will include kitchen and bathroom refurbs, wet room and hand rail fittings and some school refurbs * Compiling Bills of Quantities for live projects, working with the delivery team and assisting in ordering and managing materials on site * Pricing up and invoicing new works * Carrying out site inspections during progress of work * Signing off variations and completing final re-measures * Assisting Management in identifying new revenue streams to tap into Experience required: HNC qualified or equivalent degree Minimum two years’ experience within the sector Preferably experience on the contractor side Social Housing experience desirable Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:00 - 4:30 but flexible Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role. Our client, based in Cardiff, is currently recruiting for a Capital Works Project Manager on a temporary contract for two months ongoing. The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position. The ideal candidate will have experience of planned maintenance and hold a full UK Driving License. Duties will include (but not limited to): * Lead on the delivery of the housing WHQS, capital maintenance and improvement work * Line manage a team 13 including Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and TLOs * Conduct project appraisals and briefs in order to provide value for money * Manage contractor performance and ensure projects remain within the set budget * Identify and resolve any arising issues or conflicts * Ensure a customer focused approach to work which meets the needs of tenants * Monitor productivity and performance KPIs of staff * Write reports to provide updates on performance and the progress of works * Oversee the submission of Building Regulation Approval and planning applications and secure planning and other required consents where necessary * Procure and engage Structural Engineers, Architects and Designers where necessary * Assist with the development and maintenance of the Asset Management system * Produce ad-hoc reports and information on service related issues and assist the Development and Investment Manager in the preparation of service/team plans Working hours: * 37 ½ hours per week * Monday - Friday 9am-4:30pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
