We have an exciting opportunity to build on the successful and progressive Highway Delivery Team within Environment to Help ensure that the Environment is safe, clean, green now and in the future
Initially operating from either Hatch Pond Depot or Southcote Road Depot we require skilled and experienced Works Supervisors to assist in the improvement and maintenance of our Highways infrastructure.
The successful candidates will take a lead on and oversee the completion of various works sites around the conurbation, being a focal point of all aspects for major/minor works sites, liaising with third parties and suppliers and supporting both the operations teams on the ground and management.
The role will involve in depth technical meetings and the successful candidates will require knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
A proven history of delivering successful footway and carriageway construction schemes is expected, as is an in depth background of managing maintenance and other highway related activities (examples: high speed traffic management, laying and repair of surfacing, kerbing, installation of Pipework and ducting, signage, vehicle restraint barriers and out of hours and emergency works).
Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act, Safe working practices and NRSWA would be expected.
A full UK drivers licence is an essential requirement of the post.
