Senior Project Manager - Energy from Waste Working for a Tier 1 contractor delivering a 20million scheme from start to finish, looking to go live on-site January 2021 Location: Crawley Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 basic + Car or Car allowance Role Description As Senior Project Manager you will lead and deliver the project with responsibility for developing and implementing the delivery strategy. From the design and technical engineering through the procurement and construction phases to final handover. As the lead on site you will have complete control of the scheme reporting in to the Operations Manager for the region. With day to day tasks including: The develop, plan, control and execute the project by proactively monitoring and analysing performance at all levels of the project. Identify resource requirements and support requirements, liaising with both internal and external suppliers. Ensure the health, safety and environment performance of all operations * Identify and manage all risks, looking at the opportunities to benefit the project with contingency plans put in place. Ensure that the project meets the quality KPI's and that corrective management is effectively applied where appropriate Manage, reduce, and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficient activities. CAD Technician - Construction sector Focused on pre-construction site-based work, carrying out the drawings for the logistics' and compound set up on future sites. Location: Gravesend Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 basic + Package (Freelance would be considered for a 3-month contract until a permanent person is recruited.) PLEASE NOTE: Immediate requirement Due to a full order book for the next 18 months, this contractor is looking for additional support in their design team. Someone to support both the pre-construction and the project delivery team with the site compound and access lay-out designs. Purely working in the construction sector, you will need to have experience with the logistical design of a site compound. Understanding the different elements of a project from the size of the site, location of the offices, access for both people and materials through to the day today logistics and truck access for delivering and waste removals. This process starts off in Sketch-up or 2D drawings where you will visit the site with the Project Manager to understand the lay out and potential issues. Then leasing with the team to create the compound design, highlighting the pedestrian routes, access, emergency exits, plant movement area, office and utilities connections etc.. Once a the 2D drawing has been approved moving this in to creating a 3D site map for the internal teams and external client. Day to day duties could include: - Preparing detail design drawings and design documentation for PM's and Design Engineers. Updating design drawings to 'As Built' status from field reports and red line drawings. Ensure all work is carried out within designated KPI's The future progression of this role would see you moving in to a Structural engineer. Experience: Experience of Computer Aided Design - (AutoCAD) Working in the construction sector so you understand what and how a site compound should look like. Projects range from 100k to 5 million with the products manufactured on site then installed on site as a turn-key project. With several of their clients requesting their services delivering schemes from 500k - 5million in value. Focused in the new build sector across JCT and Bespoke contracts with projects in both New build homes / apartments, Commercial developments and industrial units. The Quantity Surveyor will report in to a Senior Quantity Surveyor and look after the smaller schemes or be part of a small team on the larger developments. Type of day to day duties will include: - Measuring and estimating. Preparing valuations for interim application for payment including variations. Preparing and negotiating final accounts. Remeasure Bill of Quantities. Monitoring costs to ensure works are within budgets. Visit live sites to ensure works are running correctly. Senior Quantity Surveyor - Birmingham 6-month contract on a live project in Birmingham on a new build Highway scheme Location: Birmingham Salary: £350 per day (Outside of IR35) Role Description: This role requires an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work on a larger 30million+ Highway scheme based in Birmingham. This role is in place to work with the Managing Quantity Surveyor on site in getting the site systems and sub-contractors set up as the project is now live on site.
