Role Description:
Working for a main contractors Infrastructure team where you will be responsible for a package of minor works schemes, all NEC based on highway schemes. Involved we a mixture of new schemes starting and the close out of existing projects hence 1 day a week might be required for site visits or client meetings if not being conducted by MS Teams.
You need to be experienced on the NEC forms of contract and working in the highways sector as your support will be via MS Teams with the Commercial team all working from home. Proven experience of monthly reporting, final accounts and project variations are required as you will be hitting the ground running as an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on a freelance basis.
Required Experience:
Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor in the Infrastructure sector
NEC contractual knowledge
Full Driving licence due to the region you cover

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Birmingham
6-month contract on a live project in Birmingham on a new build Highway scheme
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £350 per day (Outside of IR35)
Role Description:
This role requires an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work on a larger 30million+ Highway scheme based in Birmingham. This role is in place to work with the Managing Quantity Surveyor on site in getting the site systems and sub-contractors set up as the project is now live on site.
There is the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff in the future but due to various issues with COVID19 this is a 6 month temporary position for now.
Working on one Highway scheme you need to have experience of Highway projects previously, used to the stakeholder engagement and processes in place by Highways England. Working under NEC forms of contract and used to being involved at the beginning of a project with the initial site set up and commercial processes being rolled out on site.
Required Experience:
A Qualification be it HNC / HND or full Degree ideally in Quantity Surveying or other related subject.
Supported by experience as a Quantity Surveyor on a Highways scheme under NEC forms of contract.
