Duties may include but are not limited to; Attending post tender and pre-contract meetings. Assessing contract risk and work with the site team to develop and manage mitigation plans. Undertaking cost to complete reviews with the contract delivery teams. Attending internal and external commercial review meetings. Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors. Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement. Preparation of / assistance with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation works. Maximising value and minimising cost, ensuring that appropriate controls are in place to monitor and manage the operating cost base. Developing and issuing of cost reporting as requested by the client in relation to spend forecasts and identifying the variance between actual costs against forecasts within activities. We are looking for Building Surveyors to carry out condition and life cycle surveys of a public sector portfolio of properties, the contract will form around 3 months of work. The successful individual will be working as part of a team responsible for surveying, logging, and creating condition reports for fabric elements of the properties in line with RICS standard methodology. We will ideally be looking for candidates who are chartered building surveyors (MRICS) or alternatively degree qualified with a history of proven experience within the field. You will need to be self-sufficient, with excellent levels of communication at all levels and comfortable managing your own workload.
