Experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader required to lead a small team landscape operatives. Our client is a leading Landscaping/Maintenance company with various projects around the South East and further afield in the UK including New Builds, Schools and Local Authorities. We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Team leading who can oversee and manage operatives on new sites whilst they carry out general duties which could include grass cutting, strimming, pruning, weeding, hedge cutting, leaf & litter clearing. You will need to have a proven background within the landscaping/maintenance environments and leadership skills. Quantity Surveyor required for an immediate start, based in Thurrock, Essex Salary in the region of £30,000 to £40,000 The position of Quantity Surveyor within the Fire Protection industry holds responsibility for managing the costs on the various project being commission via the company. They will assist in ensuring the project is completed within its projected budget. Principle Responsibilities: Duties will include but are not limited to the following: * Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly including the following * Prepare invoice/applications for completed and monthly accounts on all the projects. * Maintain relationships with the client’s quantity surveyors * Understand the clients accounting practices to ensure invoice/applications and payments are made on time. * Procure or agree the services of sub-contractors / self-employed in conjunction with the Operations Director who are employed to work on the various projects. * Liaise with the client and other construction professions, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers. * Provide monthly reports on the status of each project utilising the CRM system * Personal ongoing development. * Produce weekly / monthly cost analysis on project status. * Credit control for invoices / applications with all projects. * Attend pre-start meeting and review of Contracts (NEC, JCT etc) Ideally, we are looking for a qualified QS but will also be interested in hearing from you if you are newly qualified and looking to start your career. You will need to be dynamic and prepared to build relationships with clients. A full UK driving licence is essential for site visits The ability to multi-task and run various project at once is essential together with knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts would be desirable but not essential We are looking for a candidate with hunger and desire to succeed, if this is you, please forward your CV or call (phone number removed)
