JOB DESCRIPTION We have a number of exciting opportunities for Project Managers to join our expanding Real Estate team in the North East. MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE · To lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects. · To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards. SCOPE Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale and value , depending upon the complexity of the project, etc the normal would be up to £40m in value. However, where the service provided is advisory in nature, for example advising on urban re-generation funding, the overall project size may be much larger. Project management, to include: · Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client's overall objectives · Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters · Planning for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues · Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project · Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan · Advising upon the procurement of resources · Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team · Monitoring and applying performance management techniques, including the use of KPI's to improve project performance · Managing the change control process · Monitoring and advising upon project finances · Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications · Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports · Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages Marketing and business development, to include: · Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients · Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities · Working with Associate Directors and Directors to construct bids for new work · Attending formal client pitches with Assistant Directors and Directors · Ensuring that project case study, photograph and project CV files are kept up to date · Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve project management products and services · Understanding the 2+2=5 philosophy and identifying and acting upon cross-divisional opportunities Internal management accountabilities, to include: · Staff management (where appropriate) - Inputting into the formal management of an Assistant Project Manager or small project management team, to include 1st round recruitment interviews, input into resource management and attendance at junior staff appraisals · Knowledge management - Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each project is input into the internal database · Financial management - Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilising FMS in order to monitor a project's financial status · Process improvement - Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes QUALIFICATIONS · Degree qualified in relevant discipline · Proven experience manageing Real Estate projects, ideally in a consultancy environment

We are seeking an individual with extensive practical experience within Civil Engineering/Infrastructure and/or Pharmaceutical industries. RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of projects both pre and post-contract Contributing to business development Financial management of own commissions Provide support on major project management commissions, taking responsibility for an aspect of service delivery. Preparation of contracts for commissions to comply with Risk Management policy Ensure that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards. Senior Quantity Surveyor We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in the North East to work on upcoming Highways/Civils projects across the region. Contract role expecting to last until end of September 2021 with a rate of £23.32/hour PAYE. Key responsibilities of the role will be as follows, but are not limited to: To lead/manage a site team to ensure they undertake their duties to the best of their ability, in accordance with company requirements. Prepare presentation packs/reports for the client/project managers, as required. To help input into tender enquiries and prepare or assist with preparation of Bills or price and assemble bid/contract documentation (number of visits/programme durations etc). Be able to monitor/prepare programmes and phasing documents and have the ability to discuss confidently with all parties. To establish and maintain a professional looking and safe site. Understand design issues and suggest VE where practical; preparing, checking and establishing specifications where appropriate. Ensure subcontractors perform their activities to programme/quality and to support the surveyors with the subcontractor payments/disputes as necessary. What we are seeking in the ideal candidate: Educated to a degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a Construction related discipline. Someone who is able to use their own initiative and work autonomously. Able to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines. Good coaching, listening and mentoring skills. Strong financial acumen with an appreciation for financial constraints. Up to date knowledge of health & safety legislation

Our client, a leading consultancy based in Newcastle, require a Quantity Surveyor to join an existing team delivering schemes under a single Client framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the construction process from procurement to the agreement of the Final Account for commercial construction schemes up to £4 million. The work will be predominantly office based, in our clients Newcastle office but there will be requirement to visit sites and attend meetings. The role is full-time. Ideally the candidate will be educated to degree level and will have a minimum of two years post-graduation experience from a main contracting background. We will, however, consider candidates with less experience and/or a PQS background. The successful individual will be used to working collaboratively within a team, as well as operating under his or her own initiative.
