You will be required to work in a prison for the majority of the time, but may be asked to work on other projects in surrounding areas. Duties will include but not be limited to: * Installing stud walls, doors, toilets and sinks * Replacing ceiling tiles * Decorating throughout commercial properties You will need to have your own van and tools. The BJF Group require a mobile Commercial Gas Engineer with a mechanical bias to carry out regular routine service and maintenance inspections across various Prestigious sites Portsmouth. Responsibilities: * PPM and reactive breakdowns to multiple different types of gas appliances across multiple contracts. These will include commercial, industrial and domestic boilers * General plumbing duties, repair works and minor instillations of low temperature hot water and heating systems. Skills and Experience * A sound knowledge of mechanical systems. * A good understanding of dynamic risk assessments and safe working procedures is essential * Be able to manage own workload and be responsible for ordering spares in an efficient manner. * A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are required Expected qualifications: CCN1 (or COCDN1), COCN1 (or CODNCO1), CIGA1, CDGA1LL Desirable qualifications: CCCN1, CCLP1 The successful candidates must have a valid driving licence and be able to achieve and maintain security clearance. Site Location: Kent/ South East BJF Group are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager, to work in our Construction team on a new build residential project in Ashford, Kent. The successful candidate will manage, plan and co-ordinate the activities and subcontractors on site to meet the programme of works. BJF Group work on new build and refurbishment projects in the Residential, Health, Education and Commercial sectors with values up to £5 million pounds. Key Skills & Responsibilities: * All site-based qualifications necessary to carry out the role. * SMSTS (essential) * First Aid (essential) * Experience in a similar role, ideally working on bespoke residential projects and oak frame construction experience is desirable, but not essential. * Ensure that a highly skilled and disciplined workforce is maintained within a safe system of work. Uphold high level of site cleanliness and SHEQ. * A good knowledge and understanding of construction processes. * Assessing subcontractor Risk and Method Statements. * Reviewing drawings and ensuring Subcontractors complete works as per the design requirements. * Experience using a web based document management system would be preferable. * Full UK Driving License. * Completion of daily site documentation (site diary, labour & plant returns, etc.) * A good attention to detail. * Delivery of site inductions and tool box talks. The completion of relevant documentation. * Liaison with Subcontractors to ensure progress is in line with the target programme. Experience with programming software would be preferable. * Manage and monitor site activities and physical progress of work for site safety, quality and environmental responsibilities * Good IT skills with a good understanding of Viewpoint, Microsoft Project, Word and Excel. Responsibilities and Duties * Management of all aspects of Information Technology including overseeing the company’s current external IT Support Providers to ensure a best in class service. * Manage and make recommendations for developing the company’s technology goals and I.T strategy. This will include monitoring ad-hoc issues and long-term implementation projects. * Implement and support the agreed IT Strategy across all systems. * Development and Implementation of software throughout the business working with various divisional leads and external software companies. * Liaise with our external IT providers to monitor their performance and attend review meetings. * Manage and oversee the entire IMS system ensuring that documents are regularly updated and support ISO audits each year. * Manage and maintain the existing IT Assets ensuring that regular audits are taking place. * Work with department / divisional stakeholders to ascertain their IT needs and how the company can meet these either through training or investment.
