Company: Our client is a specialist refurbishment and selected new build projects contractor working in Commercial, Residential, Education, Heritage and Healthcare sectors, carrying out works within the M25 valuing between £10,000 and £10m. They are looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to be based in their office near Southwark. Job Purpose: To provide support to the pre-construction department by way of: * Tender submission Programming * Bid writing * Bid document production (InDesign) * Establish logistics and methodology * Risk and buildability assessments * Attend tender site visits and tender interviews. Responsibilities: * Develop tender master programmes and sub-programmes Be aware of the impact of Health and Safety regulations and their implications on programme * Assist in development of tender risk schedules * Advise on programme dates for trade packages, long lead items and risk * Ensure site visits are carried out for all tenders * Take strategic photos for inclusion within the tender support document * Prepare for each tender a detailed and comprehensive bespoke tender support document * Experience in the use of InDesign is beneficial * Provide a detailed methodology for tenders including detailed site set up, methodology and logistics * Provide at tender stage for the estimator, a detailed scaffold schedule and temporary electrics schedule * Attend Tender settlements and provide the settlement team with a detailed précis of the project * Periodically manage and provide technical input to pre-qualification questionnaires * Attend handovers to operational team and deliver a detailed précis of the project to the proposed delivery team. * Periodically provide ASTA training to the project teams where required * Assist in the production of cause-and-effect schedules and EOT programmes * Maintain a good understanding and knowledge of traditional and new forms and methods of construction. Salary/Package: £75-80k + travel expenses and pension

The new business will be based on the M3 corridor, looking to service Main Contractors and Developers, providing them with a professional, organised approach. The business owners will be able to develop business and leads through their network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that has ambition to grow and develop into other sectors. Duties • Manage your allocated contracts and teams of cleaners and cleaning supervisors • Regularly visit client sites to ensure that all sites are cleaned to specification and to a high standard • Ensure the efficient running and cost-effectiveness of contracts • Maintain cost control • Manage the selection, control and supervision of cleaning staff • Maintain a close knowledge of site requirements and possible future needs, liaising with client checking they are happy with quality• Implement health, safety and security procedures on contract sites: COSHH requirements, risk assessments, method statements and the implantation of the company’s health and safety policy • The recruitment, training and discipline of direct reports • Ensure the formal control and monitoring documentation is adhered to • Client liaison as required, both formal and informal • Administration compliance • Stock/cost control on contracts – ensure the economical use of all products used on contracts • Organise relief cleaners and provide cover where necessary; planning well in advance for holiday cover etc. • Promote the good image of the company at all times, ensuring staff also do so Requirements for the Operations Director: • Strong operational management experience • Must have people management experience • A background in the cleaning industry • A valid UK driving licence • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • An understanding of general finance and budgeting management • Ability to deal with conflict and negotiation • Data processing skills • Strong organisation skills, time management and attention to detail Ideally BICS membership Trained in IOSH & COSHH Salary / Benefits / Bonuses – all negotiable

They are looking for a Freelance / Fixed term contract Senior Site Engineer to undertake all the setting out of steel work, holding down bolts, and services along with hard landscaping along with all Quality Assurance on a project in Taunton. The project is due to start on site late June 2020, the Engineer is programmed in for 5 month. Working for the Main Contractor, the value of this package of work is £5M The project runs close to a Railway line, so safety is paramount. Experience You will ideally be experienced with the use of a Robotic instrument and Auto cad. The role will involve site set up through to day to day monitoring of sub-contractor work and engineers setting out. QA documentation and drawing control. Our client are an established specialist national contractor who operate both a principle and subcontractor, They have successfully trading for the past 30 years and part of a group, they are currently looking to engage on a Freelance / Fixed Term Contract basis a CRE (Contractors Responsible Engineer) from June 2020 for a period of 6 months, based on a project in Taunton. The role will report into a site based Project Manager and require planning, management and carrying out the site CRE activities to include; Maintain quality records and photographs demonstrating that all works have been carried out in accordance with AFC drawings and specifications. Review and authorise all Works Package plans, method statements and risk assessments. To assist the site team to ensure that all project activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the Group Health and Safety Procedures, Network Rail and GWR procedures. Complete Grip 7 handover documents for project to be taken into use. Key Accountabilities * Review all Works Package Plans and authorise regularly review onsite activities to ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with the approved WPP. * Maintain WPP register. * Carry out Quality checks to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with AFC drawings and specifications. * Maintain quality records. * Take and maintain record photographs, cataloguing and referencing location and date of all photographs, taking particular care to record construction that is covered up in the final condition. * Raise NCR’s, issue and close out of all NCR’s, ensuring and design changes are approved. * Check, sign and date all as built drawings and records. * Seek guidance from CEM where required and liaise with CRE for other disciplines and design.
