The purpose of this role is to provide functional Health & Safety advice, guidance and coaching to Project Teams. The position supports the Project Director in establishing and maintaining the highest Health and Safety standards for the project. Advise, guide and coach all personnel on the project with the implementation of the HSMS. Duties and Resonsibilities will be to: * Advise on project compliance with the HSMS and statutory provisions. * Maintain the Health & Safety competence matrix. * Deliver the H&S induction and other H&S briefing along with the construction team * Monitor onboarding process * Production, review and implementation of the CPP. * Review of Risk Assessment and Method Statement * Support the team in the accident/incident investigations procedure and timely communication of the findings. * Monitoring of the project, trade contractors, designers, suppliers and assisting the Procurement Team * Liaison with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties. * Assist with the development, regular review and update of the HSMS. * Support the business to win work. When directed complete PQQs and tender enquiries. * Contribute to the development of an Injury Free Environment. * Look for innovative solution To be successful in the role you will have: Essential: * Previous experience in Construction Project/Facilities Health & Safety * NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Construction activities – minimum) * NEBOSH General Certificate (Facilities activities – minimum) * Experience of working on tunnel project (Slurry or variable density TBM desirable) Desirable: * Membership of IOSH – Tech IOSH

Balfour Beatty VINCI are recruiting for an Agent to work on one of their two sections of High Speed 2 in Birmingham. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Agent will be responsible for leading a team of Engineers working on the UK's most prestigious infrastructure project. * Lead a team of Engineers, allocating suitable tasks and supervising the delivery of a section of works * Ensure Site Engineers complete setting out in accordance with design. * Produce/review Method Statements and Risk Assessments, making improvements as appropriate * Carry out Site Audits to check works and documentation compliance * Ensure the Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed to ensure that the works are delivered to specification. * Understand construction methodology and develop/approve relevant procedures specific to the area of works. * In association with the Section Foreman, assess the plant and resource requirements to meet the demands of site and office based works. * Supervise the erection, use, maintenance and dismantling of the temporary works, as applicable. * Carry out checks on the scheme during construction on site, liaising with the TWC and Site Team * Prepare and issue Temporary Works Briefs to the relevant design departments. * Ensure Design Drawings are marked up to reflect works completed as the works are finished. You will need to be/have: * Degree qualified in civil engineering or equivalent * Previous management experience is essential * Experience in earthworks, drainage or heavy structures is desired

Purpose of the role will be to support the BBV Environment Sustainability team. Duties and responsibilities to include: * Provide pragmatic support and advice to BBV teams and sub-contractors with delivering arboricultural requirements to programme, budget and quality standard. This includes on-site surveys, inspections and watching briefs, providing practical advice on programme and on-site measures, and providing practical advice on legal requirements and HS2 requirements. * Problem-solve, finding practical cost-effective solutions to arboricultural challenges facing BBV teams and sub-contractors. * Review/assure Design deliverables. * Liaise with DJV, EWC, HS2 and stakeholders where required. * Compile reports and other documentation as required. * Develop and support implementation of arboricultural method statements and associated documents for construction. * Provide technical support for Biodiversity No Net Loss initiatives. * Actively help deliver a culture of continual improvement of on-site arboricultural practice that is solution-orientated to support construction teams. * Investigate and report ecological and / or arboricultural incidents. The following qualities/experience are essential: * Excellent knowledge of ecological and / or arboricultural management and mitigation * Arboriculture/ urban forestry degree or equivalent qualification * LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector certificate * Thorough knowledge of BS 5837: 2012 and ability to advise on likely impacts of works on trees * Good level of commercial awareness * Full UK driver’s licence and flexibility to travel * Good understanding of arboricultural management for construction sites * Excellent understanding of the utilities/construction/engineering operating environment * Excellent understanding of tree management software and GIS * Literate in MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook * AA or ICF Membership or equivalent * Experience of working on large scale infrastructure construction/highways projects * Experienced with dealing with Natural England, LPA, Statutory and non-statutory stakeholders on such issues * Understanding of the benefits of working collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the project * Determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning and organisation skills
