Working on behalf of our award winning client, Team4You are delighted to be seeking a Site Manager to work on site at their Telford project. This is contract role offering a daily rate of £220 to £250. In order to apply for this position you must already be registered as self-employed. My client is a large and well respected Construction firm with an excellent reputation Nationwide. We are seeking an exceptional candidate to work on a new 2 storey teaching block build with multi use hall. The structure itself will be manufactured off site and delivered directly for construciton. The successful candidate will need to be onsite from 25th August, the duration of the position is expected to be 2 weeks (9 or 10 days TBC) 7:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday. To qualify as a strong applicant for this position, you need to have a proven track record as a Site Manager. The successful candidate must have SMSTS, First Aid and pass an Enhanced DBS This role will involve all aspects of Site Management, including but not limited to: Daily responsibilities Responsible for H&S on site to include site inductions Liaising with all sub contractors on site Daily liaison with the Construction Manager Writing daily diaries, updating the team by producing video content. Liaise with the commercial team in the office for any site requirements like skips etc. Daily check of the programme to see whether contractors are on target/delayed etc Check RAMS prior to contractor attendance Liaise with the school Site Manager daily in relation to the site access as the site share the school entrance. Site review and continuous inspection of quality of work and site organization. Coordinating deliveries and site access. e are looking for a Finishing Carpenter to join our team refurbishing a Pub, The Kings Arms, in Egham. * This is a Temporary position for 10 / until completion. * £15 per hour - PAYE. Weekly pay. * 6am - 6pm (approx.) * 6 days a week - with the option to work 7 days a week. * Own tools required, Larger tools and saws are on site * Work boots and a jacket are required. The work will consist of final fix including locks and end of job tasks. However owing to the nature of the work needing to be completed, you will also be required to chip in on other activities and labouring duties. As the post holder of a key role, The Site Manager will take full responsibility for all production functions on contracts from award through to handover and maintain and maximise quality of service and profitability. Key Responsibilities: As Site Manager, you will be responsibile for the daily monitoring / overseeing of the busy construction site. Duties include(but not limited to): * Liaising with clients and reporting progress, professional staff (such as architects and surveyors) and the public * Supervising contracted staff and subcontractors. * Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety. * Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings. * Maintaining quality control procedures. * Motivating the workforce. * Problem solving. * Management of quality control. * Producing RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements). * Fulfil responsibility contained within the Health and Safety management system on site. The right applicant MUST have: * A Full Driving License * SMSTS * CSCS Card * First Aid * A Minimum of 5 Years experience in a similar role Experience and Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a degree/HNC/HND in construction and ideally be professionally qualified or working towards membership of a professional body. You must experience of managing large contracts together with knowledge of traditional and timber frame construction methods. You will possess excellent management and communication skills with the ability to proactively manage several live construction sites and teams at any one time, including direct labour and subcontractor resource and the ability to deliver quality construction projects within budget and programme timescales.
