Landscape Construction Contracts Manager ‘Our client is seeking a Landscape Construction Contracts Manager with sound experience of large commercial contracts. The vacancy is to manage a portfolio of contracts in and around Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Huntington areas. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work well with people, including clients and the workforce, be able to organise and manage a number of sites concurrently and be able to complete major contracts in a timely and profitable manner ensuring that the company’s high standards are maintained. SMSTS and CSCS and relevant qualification would be desired. You will be required to :- Procure and organise labour resources to achieve maximum efficiency ensure that health and safety, quality and environmental systems are complied with have a good knowledge of landscaping operations on large commercial sites be able to complete the required construction documentation in either electronic or hard copies A full UK driving licence is essential You must be be self-motivated and be able to work efficiently without supervision Be a good communicator Assist in the production of RAMS Attend external and internal meeting as required A competitive salary will be offered depending on experience and the package will include a car

Applicants should be able to handle enquiries, prepare, process and submit tenders for domestic landscape contracts. The company is an established and expanding, award-winning domestic landscape contractor working in all areas of hard and soft landscaping for, high-end clients. The successful candidate will work to their own initiative organising resources to deliver an Effective service including: Responsibilities ● Analyse client’s bills of quantities and technical specifications ● Extract information from tender documentation including taking off quantities both manually and computer assisted software ● Compiling bills of quantities ● Collate quotations to calculate materials, equipment, labour and sub-contractor costs ● Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure best value while maintaining profitability ● Utilise computer pricing software to prepare submissions ● Preparing and submitting compliant tenders to meet required deadlines ● Liaise with other departments to assist with the handover of projects ● Continued monitoring of projects including highlighting and pricing additional work and variations and submitting regular valuations through the construction phase ● Following up on tender submissions The successful candidate will have: ● Good awareness of tendering and the estimating process ● A high level of IT proficiency, particularly within Microsoft Excel ● Excellent numerical skills ● Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy ● Able to demonstrate professional communications at all levels ● Strong organisational skills ● The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines The successful candidate will be working for a leading landscape company who pride themselves on the quality of the projects they deliver.
