My client a well-established independent building services consultancy has an immediate requirement for an experienced senior level electrical design engineer to join them on a permanent basis.They are looking for an ambitious engineer who can help the practice develop and grow so there would be a lot of client liaison and business development involved. You know how to prepare conceptual schemes and develop these into detailed design packages. Communication is key and you will be responsible for establishing / maintaining relationships with architects, contractors and clients to encourage repeat business. You will also carry out feasibility studies, condition surveys and site inspections. You would Implement and manage QA systems and procedures on all projects and ensure all design respond to CDM regulations. To be considered you should have at least 5-10 years' building services consultancy experience in the design of electrical services. You should have a solid design/calculation background and be CAD literate with knowledge of Amtech/Dialux or Relux. You should have excellent communications skills and be fully computer literate. The projects are varied and they get involved in a mixture of high-end projects, including commercial, retail, leisure, educational and mixed-use projects. Previous experience in these fields would be an advantage

A well-established award winning multi-disciplinary consultancy has an immediate requirement for an experienced senior level mechanical design engineer to join their design team in their Manchester office. It is essential that you have experience within the automotive, commercial/industrial, retail, residential and education sectors and experience in clean/dry rooms desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible, under the leadership of the Director/Associate Director, for the project management of medium to large scale projects and individual engineering task(s) for numerous schemes for client's cross sector. This will include the creation, development of and finalising engineering design solutions of mechanical services elements, working with other team members and project teams together with direct liaison with the client and other design team professionals. Attendance at regular project meetings, site inspections and monitoring or works at a site level will be key functions of this role. The candidate shall have experience across the breadth of mechanical building services such as: Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) inc. The candidate should be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with either the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) or the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and possess a building services/architectural engineering degree and/or masters. Accreditation via an appropriate Institution i.e. CIBSE under an Energy Assessor Scheme for the production and lodgement of non-domestic Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)'s for both new build and existing (refurbishment) buildings is desirable. The candidate for this position will have a high level of computer literacy a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Autodesk Revit MEP, Cymap and ideally EDSL Tas. The successful candidate will be a required to provide support to our other teams and/or offices from time to time. A large building services consultancy has an immediate requirement for a senior public health design engineer to join their team in their Birmingham office. The main focus of this role is to support project delivery in providing public health design engineering services to a varied client base. Projects will be varied from complex high value large commercial and high-end residential , fit-out and refurbishments to minor schemes. You will need to be both a team player working within a group assisting other senior engineers along with helping and encouraging the graduate members, and have the initiative to work alone. You will monitor the quality control on projects to ensure the company quality standards are being achieved, prepare calculations /specifications and drawings, ensuring they comply with the clients brief. You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, with relevant qualification(s) in Building Services Engineering Design (ideally a degree). Strong software skills, being a chartered engineer and having professional membership of SoPHE are desirable. You will have 5+ years' proven Public Health Design Engineering experience including domestic hot and cold water services, soil, waste and rainwater drainage, and above and below ground drainage. Experience of rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling, solar hot water and innovative design would be an advantage. Your experience will have been gained across commercial (new build, refurbishments and fit out), residential and mixed use developments from concept, scheme and detailed design, and you should possess an in depth knowledge of Building Services Engineering Systems including their performance, application and operation. The successful candidate will be a proactive, adaptable, and approachable engineer with excellent client facing and communication skills at all levels, and takes the initiative.
