Ensure effective control measures are implemented and maintained throughout project delivery. Incident Investigation Lead and support the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts. Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative actions. Communicate lessons learned across the project and wider business to drive continual improvement. Workforce Engagement Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, inductions, and workforce engagement sessions. Promote health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental awareness initiatives. Encourage workforce involvement through safety conversations, behavioural observations, and employee feedback. Stakeholder Management Liaise with the client, principal contractor, regulatory bodies, and supply chain partners on health and safety matters. Support collaborative working relationships to ensure project objectives are achieved safely and efficiently. Qualifications & Experience Essential NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent). IOSH Membership (working towards GradIOSH or equivalent desirable). Valid CSCS Card. Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and UK health and safety legislation. Experience working within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, utilities, or large-scale construction projects. Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Main Responsibilities are: Arrange the hire of all internal/external plant as required by site Accurately on hire and off hire of all plant input onto the PM system. Ensure all hires are logged on PM and with correct off hire ref and all on hires have correct fleet numbers also when items ae exchanged - confirm with site when items will be collected Ensure the correct level of service is being given from suppliers and notify the Plant Manager if a supplier is not performing to the required standard Invoice checking - any issues pass them over to me if you need clarification on any damages Keep the WOW plant sheet up to date Actively track the current location of all owned and hired plant Make Plant manager aware if any plant shown on the hire sheet is not found / proved as off hired; all discrepancies are to be investigated and addressed immediately via damage sheet Deal with any plant queries and pass them on to the relevant managers for conformation on any discrepancies. Before hiring any plant be mindful to check 601(off hired but not collected from site) & 900 - Comments to be added per item to say if this is to be allocated and moved to another job so we know clearly what is available and what is due to be taken Record all costs of repairs, losses and damages, again to be logged on damage sheet Carry out regular plant audits by going out to troubled sites.
