Job Description: Rhino Recruitment are hiring experienced and dependable engineers to carry out drainage unblocking, CCTV surveys, and no-dig drain lining repairs across domestic, commercial, and industrial sites. This is a hands-on role focused on fault diagnosis, effective repairs, and delivering excellent service to customers on site. Pay: 16- 17 per hour (Although can be negotiated depending on experience). Contract: Temp-Perm (12-Week Temporary period acting as Probation). Responsibilities: Respond to call-outs for blocked drains, toilets, and sewers Use high-pressure water jetting to clear blockages Carry out CCTV drainage surveys and identify faults Install patch lining and full-length drain lining systems Prepare pipework for lining, including cleaning and descaling Identify defects such as cracks, root ingress, and collapses Explain findings and solutions clearly to customers Complete job reports, photos, and required documentation Follow health & safety procedures and industry standards Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles Mandatory skills Clean driving licence Abrasive wheel training Ability to use high pressure water jetting unit is the correct and safe manner, Jetting card would be preferred Ability to use a CCTV survey unit and record defects Ability to record drainage defects and recommend remedial works Ability to draw drainage plan showing drains that has been surveyed Ability to use a CAT and Genny to trace drainage runs and services to allow for safe excavation works Able to undertake excavation and pipe replacement work Able to reinstate all standard surfaces ie concrete, slabs, cold lay tarmac Able to install patch liner both straight and radial Able to carry out lining installation works of diameters of 100mm, 150mm Additional non mandatory Skills Deep excavation and shuttering works 360 excavator licence First aid CSCS card Water leak location and repairs Benefits: Field-based role covering multiple sites Outdoor work in all weather Emergency, evening, or weekend call-outs may be required Temp-to-perm opportunity after successful 12-week period Company vehicle, tools & PPE provided Overtime, call-out pay, and ongoing training If you are interested, please send an up to date CV.

Quantity Surveyor (Office Refurbishment) Office location: Cwmbran Site visits: London, Manchester, and more Employment type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary : £40-50k Overview We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our client s growing team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in delivering office refurbishment and fit-out projects, with the ability to manage costs effectively from pre-construction through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality commercial outcomes while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for office refurbishment projects. Manage project costs throughout the full project lifecycle. Procure subcontractors and suppliers, including preparing enquiries, analysing quotations, and negotiating contracts. Prepare and manage subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments. Monitor project budgets, identify cost risks, and provide regular commercial reporting. Prepare interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts. Assess and manage variations, change orders, and contractual claims. Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Design Teams, and clients to ensure commercial objectives are achieved. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures. Produce monthly cost reports and forecasts for senior management. Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining quality and programme requirements. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners. Essential Requirements Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. Strong background delivering office refurbishment and commercial fit-out projects. Excellent understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong negotiation and commercial awareness. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Requirements Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or working towards chartered status. Experience with JCT contracts. Knowledge of commercial office fit-out, CAT A and CAT B refurbishment projects. Experience using commercial management software such as COINS, Causeway, or similar.
