Our client, an established Building services and Integration company, is currently recruiting for an O&M Site Manager to join their team. The O&M Site Manager will be responsible for providing management of sites and operational projects to ensure all sites are operating well. This position will differ from conventional management in that you will be given the opportunity to 'own' a project from adoption through to operation with involvement in pricing from bid stage through to ongoing O&M. Key Responsibilities for the O&M Site Manager : Projects will range from single site boiler room and energy centre installations or servicing through to large new build and retrofit district heating schemes. Responsible for the safe and effective operation of several district heating sites across London and further afield. For the sites that you manage, you will be responsible for delivering the following (but not limited to); Setting up procedures and processes for new heat networks as they come across into the operational phase, either through adopting live contracts or new build sites. Ensuring high availability through scoping of spare parts, site visibility/remote monitoring and data analysis. Pro-actively manage and build our client and customer relationships with regards to day to day running of the sites and attendance to any regular client reporting meetings. Responsible for operational budgets & reporting against business KPI's. This will include scoping up corrective works for system improvements and any potential breakdowns. Skills Required for the O&M Site Manager : Technical qualifications in an engineering/ operations management or related discipline to degree level and / or equivalent experience relevant to the role. Proven experience in the operation of large projects, preferably in district heating, including CHP, gas boilers, biomass boilers, energy centres etc. Understanding of BMS/SCADA systems and/or energy software programming Excellent understanding of and interest in 'how systems / equipment work', with practical experience in operating plants or delivering projects. Our client is seeking a Commercial Plant Breakdown Engineer to join their team. The Commercial Plant Breakdown Engineer will be responsible for delivering operation and maintenance services across the fleet of heat networks across the London area. We are looking for someone who is willing to work towards a valid commercial gas certificate, with experience servicing and repairing commercial Plant equipment. Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Plant Breakdown Engineer Maintaining and operating commercial non-gas plant, e.g., pumps, valves, strainers The role will be varied, undertaking mechanical PPMs, reactive call outs, planned repairs and project work, to further improve reliability and network efficiency across the fleet of networks we operate. Working under the direct supervision of our Technical Manager Completion of planned preventative maintenance activities in line with company maintenance schedules (pumps, actuators, plate heat exchangers, pressurisation units, degassers) Repair and reinstatement of commercial plant (as per above) Completion of fault finding and repairs to commercial plant and other equipment including pumps and pipework Attend reactive call-outs to sites to reinstate heat and resolve plant failures Take part in an on-call rota and attend callouts (typically 1 week in 4) Review root causes for plant failure (resolve operational issues which arise) Management of site-based project work and development of the scope of works for plant remediation. Safe isolation of equipment before commencing works Water Sampling Basic fault finding on various HIU models Key Experience for the Commercial Plant Breakdown Engineer 2 year of experience working as a Commercial Plant Engineer or in a similar capacity NVQ Level 3 in Gas / Plumbing. Operational knowledge of commercial gas boilers is required. Knowledge of heat network energy centers and plantrooms. Able to read technical drawings e.g., P&IDs & mechanical schematics.
