We are currently seeking a temporary resource to support the housing complaints team in the investigation, evidence gathering, and drafting of Stage One complaint responses. The role is office based and will be full time Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring complaints are thoroughly investigated and clearly documented and will have a background in housing. Key Responsibilities Support the complaints team with investigation of housing complaints Gather, review, and analyse relevant evidence and documentation Draft clear and professional Stage One complaint responses in line with the Housing Ombudsman Code Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure all relevant information is captured Maintain accurate records of investigations and correspondence Ensure all work is completed in a timely and compliant manner

Job Title: Senior Building Control Team Leader Location: Crawley Contract Type: Temporary (6 months initially, with potential to extend) Rate: £75/hour (indicative, dependent on experience) Start Date: As soon as possible We are recruiting an experienced Senior Building Control Team Leader for a high-profile interim assignment. This is a pivotal role leading the establishment of a new in-house Building Control service, ensuring statutory compliance and smooth transition of services ahead of a critical October 2025 deadline. The Role Lead the creation of a statutory minimum Building Control service. Manage the transition of services from an existing shared arrangement. Oversee statutory compliance under the Building Act 1984 and Building Safety Act 2022 . Carry a caseload of inspections, applications, reversions, and enforcement cases. Supervise a small team, providing professional guidance and ensuring high standards. Act as the key point of contact for developers, residents, and regulatory bodies. Essential Requirements Registered Building Control Inspector (Class 3 or 4). Full professional membership with RICS, CABE, CIOB, or MIoF. Extensive experience in local authority Building Control. Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 , including complex/high-risk buildings. Proven leadership, team management, and service delivery skills. Desirable Experience in service transitions or restructuring within a local authority setting. Familiarity with data migration and integration processes. Knowledge of water neutrality issues affecting development in the Sussex region. This is a unique opportunity to take a strategic leadership role at a critical time, shaping the future of Building Control provision and ensuring continuity of statutory services.
