Job Title: Mechanical Design Manager Location: London Salary: 70,000 - 80,000+ DOE We are working on behalf of a well-established building services contractor that is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Manager to lead the design and pricing of mechanical packages across CAT A and CAT B commercial fit-out projects. With the current Design Manager stepping down, this is a key hire for the business. The role will focus heavily on technical design development, cost planning, and quotation preparation, working closely with pre-construction and delivery teams to secure and deliver profitable mechanical projects. This position will suit a technically strong mechanical professional with experience in HVAC and building services design , combined with the commercial capability to price and value projects accurately. Responsibilities: Lead the mechanical design process for CAT A & CAT B fit-out projects from concept through to construction issue. Design and develop HVAC and mechanical building services systems including air conditioning, ventilation, ductwork, pipework, AHUs, MVHR, and associated plant. Prepare detailed cost plans, take-offs, and competitive quotations based on drawings, specifications, and site surveys. Review tender documentation and produce technical and commercial submissions. Value engineer designs to ensure commercial competitiveness while maintaining compliance and performance. Coordinate with electrical designers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure integrated building services solutions. Review and mark up construction drawings and technical submittals. Support project teams during delivery, providing technical oversight and resolving design queries. Engage directly with clients, consultants, and main contractors during bid and design stages. Skills / Experience / Qualifications: Proven experience in a Mechanical Design Manager, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, or similar role within building services. Strong background in CAT A & CAT B commercial fit-out projects. Demonstrable experience pricing and quoting mechanical/HVAC packages. Solid technical knowledge of HVAC and associated mechanical systems. Ability to interpret and produce detailed mechanical drawings and specifications. Strong commercial awareness, including cost planning, procurement input, and value engineering. Experience coordinating with electrical services and wider building services teams. Proficient with industry-standard design software and MS Office applications. Job Title: MEP Project Manager Location: London Salary: 65,000 to 85,000 DOE We are working on behalf of a well-established mechanical and building services contractor that is seeking an experienced MEP Fit-Out Project Manager to deliver commercial fit-out projects across London. This role will suit a Project Manager with a solid background in mechanical building services, capable of managing projects covering HVAC, ventilation, pipework, plant installations, and associated mechanical packages. Candidates may come from a mechanical or building services background, with recent experience delivering commercial fit-out projects. Responsibilities: Take full end-to-end ownership of MEP fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion and final account. Manage mechanical packages including HVAC, ventilation, ductwork, pipework, plant rooms, and associated systems. Prepare and review project programmes, cost plans, and delivery strategies. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Review and coordinate mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical submissions. Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and health & safety legislation. Oversee RAMS, O&M documentation, variations, and final accounts. Attend site and client meetings, providing regular progress and commercial updates. Skills / Experience / Qualifications: Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering mechanical fit-out or building services projects. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC and associated services. Experience working on commercial projects such as CAT A / CAT B fit-outs, refurbishments, or similar environments. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Experience managing subcontractors and site-based delivery teams. Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proficient with standard PC applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, project documentation systems).
