Based in our Chigwell office, this role is key to ensuring contracts are administered efficiently, documentation is accurate, and projects run smoothly from start to finish. Fire Alarm Service Engineer Location: Haringey, North London Salary: 38,000 - 40,000 per annum + Company Vehicle Job Type: Full Time, Permanent The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a growing and well-established fire and life safety business covering London and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong fault-finding abilities, experience servicing a variety of fire alarm systems, and knowledge of AOV/smoke control systems. You'll be responsible for maintenance, small works, compliance inspections, and supporting clients with technical solutions. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and fault-find on fire alarm systems. Carry out small works and system modifications. Replace and commission conventional, addressable and wireless devices. This role is focused on reactive maintenance, fault finding, emergency call-outs, small works, commissioning, and repairs across fire alarm and AOV/smoke control systems. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver with excellent diagnostic skills and experience working on a wide range of fire alarm and smoke ventilation systems. Key Responsibilities Attend reactive call-outs and diagnose faults on fire alarm and AOV systems. Service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems. Carry out small works, modifications, and remedial repairs. Install fire alarm systems in accordance with BS5839. Commission fire alarm systems and create basic Cause & Effect (C&E) programming. Full UK Driving Licence. Fire Alarm Systems Strong working knowledge of: EDA, Kentec, C-TEC, Haes, Advanced, Morley Experience with additional manufacturers is highly desirable. Candidates should be able to: Download and upload panel configurations. Commission and modify systems. Diagnose and rectify system faults efficiently. Wireless Fire Systems Experience working with: Hyfire, EMS, Zerio Additional wireless system experience is advantageous. Standards & Compliance Good understanding of BS5839.
