Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager on a 6-month rolling contract, located in Suffolk. Your role will be to assist the site manager acting as SR163 cover on site when the site manager is not on site and to supervise the works on site including interfacing with and sensibly monitoring any subcontractors whilst feeding back the necessary information to the site manager. Job Duties: Ensure compliance to CDM regulations on site. Make sure all setting to work procedures are followed. Check works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner To provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels. To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions. To support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business. Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management. Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as-built drawings Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work including issuing Permits to Dig Set others to work and monitor throughout the task/ project. Role Summary We're looking for a SPEN authorised site supervisor to lead a steel structures crew on a SPEN substation job. Our client is a specialist steel fabrication and erection contractor delivering substation steelwork. They need an experienced supervisor with current SPEN authorisation to run their team on site. You'd manage the day-to-day work safely and deal directly with the SPEN site team.
