This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with experience within Facilities Management, construction, building maintenance or a similar environment to take ownership of estimating a varied range of works across commercial supermarket sites. The projects are diverse and can include petrol forecourt rebuilds, commercial roofing projects and general building and maintenance works, meaning no two projects will necessarily be the same. The role is predominantly office based, with much of the work completed through desktop estimating. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate estimates, specifications and quotations for a variety of facilities management and construction projects. Manage the quotation process from initial enquiry through to final submission. Carry out desktop estimating, reviewing drawings, specifications and project information to accurately scope works. Conduct occasional site surveys where required to establish project requirements and site-specific considerations. Calculate project costs including labour, materials, tools, equipment and plant. Ensure quotations are commercially accurate and aligned with required profit margins. Produce detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring everything required is identified ahead of project commencement. Develop clear and accurate scopes of work based on customer requirements. Work closely with contractors, suppliers and internal operational teams to ensure projects are accurately costed and planned. Prepare relevant project documentation, including consideration of health & safety requirements and site restrictions. Ensure quotations are completed within agreed customer service levels and timescales. Maintain proactive communication with customers throughout the estimating process. Attend customer meetings where required and support the wider team with new business opportunities. About You We are looking for someone with previous estimating experience gained within Facilities Management, construction, building maintenance or a related environment. You may currently be working as an Estimator, FM Estimator, Construction Estimator, Building Estimator, Small Works Estimator or in a similar commercial role. We would also be very interested in hearing from individuals who have previously owned or managed their own business within the facilities management, construction or building maintenance sector, where they have been responsible for surveying, costing and quoting their own works. You will ideally have: Previous experience estimating facilities management, construction or building works. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to produce accurate, profitable quotations. Experience interpreting drawings and technical specifications. An understanding of labour, material, plant and equipment costs. Experience producing scopes of work and project costings.
