About the Role Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement, the Buyer will have the opportunity to assist the team with the procurement of materials, both locally and internationally, for a variety of trades involved in major commercial and residential schemes. Key Responsibilities: Procuring materials within budgets on time to progress works on site. Producing monthly budgetary control reports on all materials purchased for each site. Scheduling of materials and completion of requisitions. Ensuring all materials are purchased on time, to specification and at the best price available General administrative duties Resolving disputes and account queries between suppliers and the company. The ability to work to strict deadlines The ability to contribute positively to a team as well as being self motivated and to be able to work on their own initiative. Able to accept criticism and work well under pressure. Able to carry out basic tasks on a computer & Excel Ensuring all documentation meets formal requirements and required standards. Experienced Plant Fitter Immediate start Location: You will be based in Colwick (NG4) but will be required to travel between various sites across the UK, door to door pay along with a van with tools, fuel card, expenses, laptop and phone will be supplied. Piling Supervisor JRL Civil Engineering are looking for a Piling Supervisor for London Projects. This is a permanent PAYE position available to start immediately. JRL Civil Engineering is a part of the JRL Group which encompasses 14+ divisions delivering bespoke solutions for the most complex projects. Since our inception in 2005, we have fast become an industry leader in the installation of Continuous Flight Auger (CFA), Rotary Bored, Cased CFA and Contiguous & Secant Pile Retaining Wall. In addition to this we have other wide capabilities to provide a self-sufficient piling package which includes design and installation of Working Platforms, piling muck-away, piling attendances and Principle Contractor Role. Responsibilities Ensuring site works are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with project specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Pile Design. Briefing all operatives involved and ensuring they follow all health & Safety and quality procedures. Co-ordinating daily programmes of work with our Client/Main Contractor to ensure optimum performance. Reporting product and quality non-conformances to Contract Management. Preparing site records. Ensuring project specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments remain current. Carrying out weekly toolbox talks and recording attendees. Ensuring all plant and operators have appropriate certification. Complete weekly safety report and notify Contract Management of any matters requiring review. Raising safety and welfare issues with Client/Main Contractor site management. Informing Contract Management of any incidents or accidents. Accepting and confirming instructions from our Client/Main Contractor. Calling off materials, services and resources appropriately to maintain optimum performance. Requirements Experience required in the piling industry. Experience of civil construction supervision. Must have CSCS Card & SSSTS Card. First Aid at Work.

We require an Electrical Estimator to join our Preconstruction team based at our head office in Borehamwood. Role & Responsibilities: Support the Estimating team with Electrical bids and tenders. Prepare and submit prime cost estimates utilising Trimble Estimating Software. Liaise with internal and external engineers, consultants and subcontractors to construct and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates. Identify and provide alternative design proposals, solutions and value engineering options. Establish and maintain tendering processes and conduct negotiations. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors. Support and encourage other team members. Monitor targets and workflow. Control and organise tender documentation. Perform other duties at managements discretion. Requirements: A sound Technical knowledge of Electrical systems essential. Sound Experience in Electrical Estimating. Knowledge of the construction industry essential. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Estimating software and On-screen take off. We are looking to recruit a design engineer with responsibility for carrying out temporary works schemes and associated design reports with scheme drawings. Role includes but is not limited to: • Undertake the design of concrete structures, groundwork and formwork systems • Select the appropriate temporary works solution for a scheme • Produce calculation reports in line with design codes • Produce workshop drawings to illustrate the temporary works solution selected • Produce designer risk assessments • Work with permanent works designer to integrate the temporary solution where possible • Liaise with clients and all members of the design team when necessary Requirements: • Applicants should have a good knowledge of building codes such as EC2 & BS 5975 • Possess a civil or structural engineering degree working towards chartership • Good working knowledge of 3D software especially Revit, Tedds, Robot, Wallap, Graytec Advanced design • Ability to perform under pressure and work to tight deadlines • Excellent verbal and communication skills • Must be able to work as part of a team but use own initiative to complete tasks • Knowledge of concrete structures, groundwork support and formwork support systems • Ideally 5 years post graduate experience
