Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician £33,372 + Overtime + Van + Excellent Benefits Wakefield Area Contract: Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday 40 Hours Per Week Company van, tools and overtime provided We have an excellent opportunity for a Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician to join a market-leading provider of modular buildings, portable accommodation and site solutions. This is a field-based multi-trade maintenance role carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repair and refurbishment work at customer sites across the region, supporting a wide range of modular buildings and accommodation units. The role would suit candidates from a building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, repairs, modular buildings, shopfitting, caravan/mobile accommodation, multi-skilled trades or service technician background. The role: • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repair work across modular buildings and accommodation units • Complete general building maintenance tasks including basic plumbing repairs • Undertake joinery and fabric maintenance including flooring, partitions, doors, ceilings and windows • Carry out basic electrical maintenance such as like-for-like replacement of lighting and fittings • Diagnose and repair internal and external faults on customer sites • Complete external repairs including roof, cladding and window repairs • Carry out paint and cosmetic repairs where required • Work safely at height in line with site procedures and safety requirements • Maintain accurate job records using a PDA/mobile device • Manage van stock, tools and materials effectively • Represent the business professionally whilst working on customer sites Candidate requirements: • Experience within a building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, repairs or service technician role • General multi-trade maintenance capability across building fabric repairs and maintenance • Experience using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively • Basic plumbing, joinery and general building maintenance skills • Basic IT skills for updating job information and communicating electronically • Able to work independently and manage workload across customer sites • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures • Customer-focused approach with good communication skills • CSCS Card / NVQ Level 2 Blue Skilled Worker desirable • ECS, IPAF or PASMA beneficial but not essential • Full UK driving licence essential Benefits: • Overtime paid at time and a half • Company van and tools provided • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays • Option to purchase additional holidays • Employee Assistance Programme • Reward and recognition schemes • Excellent long-term career development opportunities If this sounds like the opportunity you have been looking for then please apply by attaching your CV. Quantity Surveyor £40,000 £50,000 + Benefits Leeds (Hybrid) Contract: Permanent We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading business operating within the modular buildings and hire sector based near Leeds. This role will take responsibility for the commercial management of installation, alteration, relocation and removal works across a large fleet of modular units within the hire division. Working closely with operational teams, you will manage multiple concurrent work packages covering subcontract procurement, quotations, cost control, valuations, variations and commercial reporting within a fast-paced operational projects environment. The role: • Commercially manage installation, alteration, relocation and removal projects across the hire fleet • Develop scopes of works, obtain supply chain quotations and prepare quotations for customers • Prepare and manage valuations, applications for payment, variations and claims • Monitor project budgets, forecast costs and produce accurate commercial reporting • Identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks in line with company governance • Procure materials and services, including negotiating pricing and placing orders with supply chain partners • Authorise and manage project variations, subcontract packages and material orders • Work from drawings, specifications and scope of works to support accurate procurement and cost control • Liaise closely with operational teams to ensure real-time cost visibility and commercial control • Manage subcontract accounts and maintain strong supplier relationships • Collaborate with operational, technical and finance teams to support successful project delivery Candidate requirements: • Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, maintenance, small works, refurbishment or projects environments • Formal QS qualification (BSc, HND or similar) desirable, or equivalent industry experience • Strong experience in subcontract procurement, commercial management and cost reporting • Experience managing multiple concurrent work packages or projects • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and scope of works • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to maximise project recovery • Highly organised with strong attention to detail • Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally with operational and finance teams • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office • Background in repairs, maintenance or hard FM environments desirable • Full UK driving licence required Benefits: • Hybrid working (3 4 days office based) • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays • Enhanced pension scheme (7.5% employer contribution) • Life assurance (4x base salary) • Medical cash plan • Buy and sell holiday scheme • Discounted gym membership This role offers the opportunity to join a well-established organisation with strong career development opportunities within a growing commercial team.
