We are looking for a Facilities Manager, ideally mechanically biased - on behalf of our client, a well-established M&E contractor. The ideal candidate will be experienced working on multiple projects up to the value of around £50k and below, plus servicing opportunities and will be keen to grow this part of our client's business. These works are mainly, but not limited to, hospitals. So experience in healthcare, managing the following services would be key: Mechanical Electrical Ventilation BMS Builders Works Joinery SSSTS or SMSTS or similar would be preferable. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Securing, Pricing and delivering small works. Preparing quotes, managing budgets, tracking costs, and approving invoices. Building and growing our small works and servicing offering. Ensuring installations are to current guidelines, HTMs and highest of standards. Planning works to minimize disruption, managing decant processes (if needed), and coordinating with other departments/trades. Ensuring that all Health and Safety standards are met and to monitor ongoing and changing conditions. Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and matches the project's design documents. Ensuring a high standard of document control and operational procedures. Acting as the main point of contact, understanding needs, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction. A good understanding of project sequencing. Address and resolve any unexpected problems or challenges that arise during the project. Planning and having structured meetings with on-site staff, Clients and the management team. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: A dynamic individual who is looking for a challenge or may have experience in these working environments. Experience in facilities management (FM) small works or minor projects. Experience in Healthcare works. Able to demonstrate thorough understanding of various disciplines as stated above. Able to show stability, through work history. Ability to work in a live, occupied environment. Ideally Manual Handling, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, First Aid. Full UK driving licence. References. Lives within a 20 mile radius of the North West Office in Bury. Electrical Project Manager Location: Reading Contract: Full-time Contract until December 2026 The Role We re on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our client's MEP team. Our client is a successful M&E contractor & you will be working on a new build, office block project on a MOD base - £8 million electrical value - alongside a highly reputable main contractor. You will be overseeing the installation of sub-main distribution systems, containment, small power, lighting etc. Responsibilities Taking the lead on the electrical installation side of things for your assigned project. Making sure everything meets the required safety, quality, and legal standards. Working closely with design teams and clients to make sure the designs are practical, efficient, and fully compliant. Keeping on top of project controls like change management, risk, and quality assurance. Supporting and leading your project team, setting clear expectations and helping everyone perform at their best. Keeping things on schedule and within budget, making sure targets are hit without compromising on quality. Managing key responsibilities and documentation, especially when it comes to electrical works. The Candidate A strong technical background in Electrical Services and a good understanding of safety practices. A relevant qualification in the field. CSCS and SMSTS accreditation (minimum). Experience overseeing electrical installations on large construction projects. You ll need to be eligible for basic Security Clearance due to the nature of the work.

The Role: We're urgently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a major new-build commercial project in Reading - Value is £8 million M&E & project duration is 15 months, with the potential of more work to follow. Our client is a thriving M&E contractor based in the West Midlands & is willing to consider candidates from a construction or building services background. This is a great opportunity to gain direct experience of the M&E sector where QS's are always in demand, or continue to develop your career in the building services sector if you already have M&E experience! Support will of course be given. With a friendly Commercial team & a very healthy order book our client offers stability and growth with good future propects. Key Responsibilities: Help manage all MEP cost-related aspects of the project. Collaborate closely with the main contractor and the MEP project team to deliver project objectives on time and within budget. Attend meetings with key stakeholders to report on commercial progression Conduct cost analysis and performance reporting for the MEP components. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards. Engage in proactive problem-solving and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on a construction project/projects Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team or autonomously. Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred.
