Key Responsibilities : Lead and manage electrical engineering activities for the new build residential project. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met within budget and on schedule. Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to facilitate seamless communication and project execution. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols. Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and project updates to senior management. Identify and mitigate potential project risks and implement contingency plans as necessary. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field - or relevant qualification. Proven experience in managing large-scale electrical engineering projects. Previous experience working with Tier 1 construction companies is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and commissioning. Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor Owing to an increase in workload, our client, a specialist construction and engineering contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in an office-based role. The position will support the delivery of technically complex projects, primarily within the healthcare sector, including hospitals, laboratories and regulated environments. The role would suit candidates with experience in Building Services, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), or technically driven fit-out projects . Experience in healthcare or other regulated sectors would be advantageous but not essential. The Role: We're urgently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a major new-build commercial project in Reading - Value is £8 million M&E & project duration is 15 months, with the potential of more work to follow. Our client is a thriving M&E contractor based in the West Midlands & is willing to consider candidates from a construction or building services background. This is a great opportunity to gain direct experience of the M&E sector where QS's are always in demand, or continue to develop your career in the building services sector if you already have M&E experience!
