This is a client-side role, suited to someone with robust construction knowledge who can take projects that are already progressing through later stages and drive them through to delivery, approvals and contract commitment. In this role, you will manage homelessness cases, make statutory decisions and secure sustainable housing solutions to prevent homelessness. Duties: Manage homelessness cases and make statutory decisions in line with housing legislation. Assess and lawfully discharge or cease homelessness duties. This role is focused on day-to-day estate management and wider asset work, making sure occupations are properly documented, rents and service charges are managed, and the council's property interests are protected. This is a hands-on operational management role, leading the technical delivery of home repairs, improvements and adaptations so disabled and vulnerable residents can live safely and independently at home. You will supervise a small surveying team, oversee contractor performance, act as the technical lead across specifications, compliance, procurement and quality assurance.
