About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and deliver a range of mechanical construction and refurbishment projects across Scotland. This is a key role within our expanding building services team, responsible for managing projects from initial planning and design review through to installation, commissioning, and handover. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and proven experience managing mechanical packages within construction or refurbishment environments. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple mechanical projects across commercial, industrial, public-sector, and refurbishment sites. Oversee full project lifecycle including planning, procurement, resource allocation, site coordination, and financial management. Ensure all mechanical installations are delivered to specification, programme, and budget. Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain progress and quality. Conduct regular site visits, progress meetings, and client updates. Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, industry regulations, and company procedures. Review drawings, technical submissions, and project documentation. Manage variations, change control, and cost reporting. Support tendering processes and provide technical input when required. About You Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager (or similar role) within construction or refurbishment projects. Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, pipework, heating systems, and building services mechanical installations. Able to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong commercial awareness and experience working with budgets and cost reports. Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent). Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across project sites. Mechanical Estimator Construction & Refurbishment Projects (Scotland) Location: Scotland Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £65,000 per year About the Role We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our growing building services team and support a diverse range of construction and refurbishment projects across Scotland. This role involves preparing accurate, competitive mechanical tenders and supporting the business in securing new work across commercial, industrial, and public-sector sectors. You will play a key part in the pre-construction process, working closely with project managers, design teams, suppliers, and clients to develop comprehensive cost plans and technical submissions. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions for construction and refurbishment projects. Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents to produce accurate labour and material take-offs. Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure accurate pricing. Develop cost plans, value engineering options, and commercial proposals. Identify project risks, constraints, and opportunities to improve tender success. Support bid teams with clarifications, presentations, and documentation. Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners. Assist with handovers to project teams following successful tender awards.
