Groundworkers Location: Rochford, Essex Contract: PAYE, Permanent, Full time (47.5 hours per week) 7am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday Salary: Up to £19 per hour, plus overtime and night out allowances The role is with a well-established utility services company delivering essential drainage, civils, and infrastructure projects across the UK. They are looking for skilled and motivated Groundworkers to join their dynamic on-site teams working on a variety of projects. You'll join a supportive, safety focused team with a great working culture where colleagues look out for each other. This role is PAYE and permanent, and ideal for someone living within 30 minutes of Rochford, Essex. What the role will involve: Working safely at all times and ensuring the safety of others Loading, unloading, and transporting materials, tools, and equipment Attending team briefs, toolbox talks, and mandatory training Operating hand/power tools for drainage and civils work Keeping work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free Collaborating with team members to meet project goals Operating plant and machinery if trained and certified Communicating professionally with clients and internal teams Experience and Qualifications: Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in groundworks or drainage-based roles CSCS card holder Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points Strong awareness of Health & Safety Ability to work outdoors and perform manual handling tasks Right to work in the UK Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): CPCS / NPORS certification (e.g., excavator, dumper) Street works (NRSWA) Confined space training First Aid Ready to join a fast-paced, safety-focused team? The role: To regularly attend customer meetings and build detailed brief of customers' requirements agreeing project milestones To project manage allocated projects from conversion to delivery, undertaking required site meetings, coordination with other trades, fabrication approval and overseeing installation, ensuring all designs meet all technical and safety requirements To ensure all financial aspects of the projects are agreed with the customer and adhered to throughout the project timeline.
