Bid Writers Locations: Rugby Nottingham Are you a persuasive storyteller with an eye for design and a drive to win? Stepnell are looking for two talented Bid Writers to join our team one based in our Rugby office and one in Nottingham. Reporting to the Preconstruction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and support during the production of high-quality proposals, PQQs, and bids. You will be the creative and organisational force that transforms technical information into winning narratives. Your Impact: Work Winning & Tenders As a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the bidding process: End-to-End Production: Fully produce pre-qualification and expression of interest submissions. Strategic Planning: Review ITT requirements alongside the Preconstruction Manager to produce and manage tender responsibility matrices, ensuring all deadlines are met. Content Creation: Draft original responses, edit team contributions, and produce bid-specific case studies and CVs. Visual Storytelling: Use your proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat to produce full proposal documents, including graphics and layout improvements. Submission Management: Manage project portals and ensure all tenders are uploaded or delivered accurately and on time. Collaboration & Business Growth You won't just be writing; you'll be an active collaborator across the business: Marketing & Branding: Work with the Marketing Manager to refine branding, imagery, and templates, while assisting with content for social media and press releases. Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain a library of standard responses, project case studies, and corporate CVs. Business Development: Research potential clients and consultants and prepare professional presentation materials for meetings. Continuous Improvement: Attend site visits to capture innovation and review feedback from both successful and failed bids to ensure we are always improving. About You We are looking for candidates who demonstrate: Exceptional Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and numerical skills are essential. Technical Savvy: High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop). Collaborative Spirit: The ability to liaise with regional offices and key contacts to gain a deep understanding of the business.

Join Our Team: Regional Quality Advisor Location: Regional (West Midlands) Are you passionate about construction excellence and technical compliance? Stepnell are seeking a Regional Quality Advisor to champion our high standards across a diverse portfolio of project sites. This is a proactive, hands-on role where you will drive best practices, mitigate risks early, and ensure every project meets the rigorous requirements of the Building Safety Act and BS 99001. The Role As the Regional Quality Advisor, you will be the guardian of quality standards within your region. You won't just react to issues; you will engage early with Preconstruction teams to identify risks and provide the training necessary to empower our project teams and supply chain. Key Responsibilities: Site Excellence: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify that construction work, materials, and installations align with specifications and manufacturer requirements. Strategic Improvement: Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and analyse trend data to facilitate learning and prevent recurring defects. Pre-construction Partnership: Support bid and pre-construction meetings to ensure Quality Inspection & Test Plans (QITPs) are robust and effective. Performance Monitoring: Develop KPI dashboards and monthly reports to track quality performance against our core objectives. Continuous Growth: Support the enhancement of our Business Management System to ensure we remain at the pursuit of excellence. Who We Are Looking For We need a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and the communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Your Profile: Experience: Construction Quality background, Implementation of Quality tools, Quality Inspection, Internal Auditor, working towards or membership of the Institute of clerk of works and construction Inspectorate (ICWCI) an advantage. Technical Savvy: A solid understanding of the Building Safety Act (BSA), Building Regulations, and ISO 9001/BS 99001 standards. Digital Literacy: Proficiency in digital quality tools such as Field view or Procore .
