Key Responsibilities Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the construction site. Supervise and coordinate groundworks and external works subcontractors. Oversee installation of drainage systems, kerbing, and associated infrastructure. Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures. Role Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out detailed visual inspections of building services installations and producing clear, concise survey reports. The surveys will focus primarily on identifying and documenting hot water cylinders and associated mechanical services infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Conduct visual mechanical and electrical surveys across multiple university buildings. Identify, inspect, and record hot water cylinders and associated plant. Assess the condition of mechanical services installations as part of dilapidation surveys. Survey and document: Pipework systems Pumps Valves Associated mechanical plant and equipment Capture photographic evidence and asset information. Produce accurate condition and dilapidation reports. Record observations regarding asset condition, accessibility, defects, and maintenance requirements. Liaise with the project team to ensure surveys are completed within programme timescales. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver an M&E refurbishment project within a live commercial office environment. The role will involve managing the replacement and upgrade of key building services, including boilers, chillers, AHUs, pumps and BMS controls, while coordinating subcontractors, programme, quality, health & safety and commissioning activities. Candidates should have experience delivering M&E or building services projects, ideally within occupied commercial buildings, and be confident managing mechanical and electrical packages from installation through to testing, commissioning and handover. Experience with HVAC plant replacement, plant room refurbishments, BMS upgrades, stakeholder management and live-environment working is highly desirable
