Everyone should have a warm, safe, affordable home. As our Senior Stock Condition Surveyor, you'll help us understand the condition of our tenant's homes as we deliver this for people across Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean. You'll lead and coordinate our stock condition survey programme, using your experience to make sure the process runs smoothly and that we collect high-quality data. Managing our team of surveyors, you ll oversee the quality assurance (QA) processes and provide analysis to inform investment planning and compliance. You ll also support activities as part of the wider asset management team. What you ll bring to our team A confident leader, with strong technical surveying expertise and experience delivering stock condition surveys, you ll be able to guide your team and help them grow. You ll have the right knowledge and qualifications to providing sound building pathology advice, and preparing schedules of work, specifications, and reports. You ll have a clear understanding of health and safety, CDM regulations, and contractor compliance, alongside experience undertaking EPCs, HHSRS inspections, and disrepair investigations. Customer-focused and collaborative, you ll work effectively with stakeholders while supporting operational planning, risk management, and budget awareness. You ll act as a positive brand ambassador and remain flexible in responding to changing operational needs. What we re looking for Significant experience in building defect identification and stock condition surveying - Essential. Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and building pathology -Essential. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Essential. Ability to work independently and manage workload - Essential. Experience with PAS 2035 Desirable Understanding of party wall matters Desirable. Qualifications Construction-related degree or equivalent - Essential. Domestic Energy Assessment qualification Essential. HHSRS qualification Essential. CDM Regulation knowledge Essential. As part of our neighbourhood team, you ll play a starring role in making this a reality for thousands of people living in our communities. The housing team is the heartbeat of our organisation. As one of our Neighbourhood Managers, you ll act as a customer champion, advocating for our tenants and working with the wider team and external partners to get them the support they need. You ll work hard to makes sure our customers are supported and able to sustain their tenancies, build communities and makes sure our neighbourhoods are places where our tenants can thrive. Spending your days out and about in our communities, you ll be highly visible and the first point of contact for the tenants in your patch. You ll welcome tenants to their new home, completing the sign-up process and making sure they have everything they need to feel at home. It will be your job to really get to know our tenants, understand their needs and make sure their voices are heard across the organisation. What you ll bring to the team You ll be committed to building positive relationships and taking ownership of the issues and queries tenants raise with you. You ll work with the team and external partners to make sure these are resolved, keeping tenants updated. You ll get to know the tenants in your patch and develop a deep understanding of their needs and the needs of the wider community, working together to prioritise and address these. As a true customer champion, you ll take a human-centric approach, implementing reasonable adjustments where required to make sure you are providing equitable services for our tenants. What we are looking for A customer champion that will fight to get our tenants the support that they need. Experienced in working in challenging customer facing situations, with excellent communication, diplomacy and customer service resolution and negotiation skills. Proven understanding and experience in delivering statutory housing services or similar services. The ability to listen and learn but most importantly to act on what you re hearing.
