We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team in our North West region. The main purpose of the Quantity Surveyor role is to ensure cost control of developments, paying subcontractors and reporting movements with monthly valuations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Contract management of appointed sub-contract trades Monthly valuation meetings with Key trades onsite. Expectation to attend meetings onsite (Development Meeting process) to discuss contractor performance/quality. Preparation of site budgets REQUIREMENTS: Experience of working for a house building organisation or the wider construction sector is essential Numerical skills with ability to undertake cost analysis and to prepare budgets Organised and able to manage multiple projects and demands on workload at any one time Able to use their own initiative to deal with subcontractor queries and assisting the site management teams as and when required. The Construction Site Trainer role will support the training and development of our Production and Site teams across Miller Homes, delivering and designing training that spans compliance, technical capability, and personal development. By enhancing both the technical expertise and broader skillsets of our teams, this role will contribute directly to improving build quality, operational consistency, and customer satisfaction across the business RESPONSIBILITIES: Create, develop, and maintain high-quality training programmes for Miller Homes Production and Site teams, ensuring compliance and competency requirements are consistently met. Deliver induction training modules at designated hub locations for new and existing Production and Site staff. Organise and manage key training programmes, including site management development initiatives and Production and Site focused modules. Conduct site visits to coach and support learners in their working environment, ensuring learning is embedded into day-to-day practice. REQUIREMENTS: Ability to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively, and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience in designing and delivering learning programmes across the full learning cycle. Experience delivering structured training within Construction Site Management. Self-sufficient and highly motivated, with excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team in the North West. The main purpose of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor is to Support the Commercial Team by providing assistance to the Senior Surveyor(s) in their day to day duties to ensure that all financial aspects of development schemes are reported and controlled. RESPONSIBILITIES: Carrying out procurement of the subcontract trades. Assisting the Senior Surveyor with internal cost reporting and external valuations Carrying out specific Surveying duties Re-measurements exercises etc. Reviewing different construction methods for commercial feasibility REQUIREMENTS: Has or is working towards a recognized degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying. A talented construction professional ideally from a similar background, having gained experience with a housebuilder, contractor or consultancy Skilled in financial management and cost control Able to identify potential problems before they arise and evolve effective, innovative and cost efficient timely solutions in the event that they do.
