We are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager based at our development in Whitecross, in our Scotland East region. The role will see you provide on-site support to the Site Manager, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the build programme and to specified company and company standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Control of all labour on site including direct and sub-contract to ensure that activities are coordinated on a plot by plot basis and as scheduled on the build programme. Monitoring of all site activities, direct labour and sub-contract packages to ensure that operations are carried out in strict accordance with the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan . Ensure that site security is adequate and maintained at all times including traffic management, prevention of theft and general public access Provide cover during periods when Site Manager is off site or for meetings, holiday cover or sickness where required REQUIREMENTS: Experience working in a similar role, ideally with a Housebuilder Ability to plan, organise and monitor sub-contract activity on a day by day basis. The role will see you oversee, develop and effectively manage the performance of the Technical Department. In addition, to advise on planning and technical matters at a strategic regional level. As part of the regional management team and by being an integral part of the land acquisition due diligence process, ensure that the provision of technical and planning advice makes an effective contribution to the evaluation and acquisition of new land and development opportunities. The Construction Site Trainer role will support the training and development of our Production and Site teams across Miller Homes, delivering and designing training that spans compliance, technical capability, and personal development. By enhancing both the technical expertise and broader skillsets of our teams, this role will contribute directly to improving build quality, operational consistency, and customer satisfaction across the business RESPONSIBILITIES: Create, develop, and maintain high-quality training programmes for Miller Homes Production and Site teams, ensuring compliance and competency requirements are consistently met. Deliver induction training modules at designated hub locations for new and existing Production and Site staff. Organise and manage key training programmes, including site management development initiatives and Production and Site focused modules. Conduct site visits to coach and support learners in their working environment, ensuring learning is embedded into day-to-day practice. REQUIREMENTS: Ability to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively, and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience in designing and delivering learning programmes across the full learning cycle. Experience delivering structured training within Construction Site Management. Self-sufficient and highly motivated, with excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines. The role of Senior Buyer will see you provide procurement services to Miller Homes sites and developments throughout UK under the supervision of the Commercial Director / Manager RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage direct procurement of materials and hired plant in line with best commercial practice Complete comparisons and be aware of the accuracy of rates and costs within the market place Comply with Miller Homes policies and procedures, and Divisional procurement implementation plans Technical support, inclusive of appropriate advice as required to the site construction team. REQUIREMENTS: Extensive experience of procurement in the Housebuilding / Construction industry.
