JOB DESCRIPTION About the role The Guinness Property team is recruiting for a Roofers Mate on a full time, permanent basis. This is a field-based role covering locations across the Greater Manchester area. The purpose of this role is to assist a qualified roofer and carry out remedial works to a high standard. What we are looking for We are seeking an experienced roofing professional with the ability to carry out minor remedial roofing repairs, including guttering, slate replacement and leak repairs. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, work effectively to performance targets, and maintain accurate records. A commitment to health and safety is essential, including the ability to undertake physical work, assess risks and operate safely when working at height. You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills: Proven ability to carry out minor remedial roofing works to a competent standard such as (but not limited to) guttering and slate replacement, minor leaks. About the role We are looking for an Advanced Electrician to join our Empty Homes Team covering Leeds, Barnsley, Doncaster, Harrogate, Wakefield & the surrounding area. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week. The role includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live near the Leeds area. A full UK driving licence is essential. Proven knowledge and experience in electrical fixed wire testing, installing, and maintaining up to 230v/415v. You will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day scheduling of our Responsive Repairs Operatives, ensuring repairs are planned efficiently and appointments are arranged to meet the needs of our residents. The role involves managing operatives' diaries, booking and rescheduling appointments, maintaining accurate records and updating systems to ensure repair activities are tracked effectively. Working closely with residents, operatives and internal teams, you will ensure clear communication, efficient job allocation and a high standard of customer service, while contributing to continuous improvements in service delivery and performance.
