We have a new opportunity for an Advanced Electrician to join our Responsive Repairs team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 39 hours per week: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday & 8:00 am - 3:30 pm on Friday, covering Leeds, Harrogate, Wakefield, and the surrounding areas. To be considered for this role, you will need to live within thirty miles of Leeds to ensure we get to our customers in a timely manner. About the role Guinness Property provides repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our residents' homes are safe and maintained to a high standard. What we are looking for We are a customer-focused organisation, so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You will not only be a fully qualified and experienced Electrician, but you will also have great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. Essential skills & experience: Certificated Electrician qualifications and demonstrated experience in domestic and commercial electrical works. Proven knowledge and experience in electrical fixed wire testing, installing, and maintaining up to 230v/415v. Ability to correctly complete the relevant certifications, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information. Ability to accurately interpret technical data & drawings and instructions. Experience working in a customer-focused environment within agreed performance targets. Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with health and safety guidelines. Good working knowledge of Health & Safety Practices. Essential qualifications: IET EAS Recognised core technical competence qualification - C&G 2365 or equivalent IET EAS Recognised Wiring Regulations Qualifications - 18th Edition • IET EAS Recognised Initial verification and inspection and testing qualification - C&G 2391-52 or equivalent. This is a permanent role, working 39 hours per week. The role includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within Cornwall. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership. Essential requirements of the role • You must be able to demonstrate competence within plastering with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation. • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high quality service • Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information. • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills. • Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines. • Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.
