YKG ltd is a growing Architectural studio specialising in residential and commercial projects in and around London. Over the past 11 years, we have been involved in high-end residential projects, commercial sectors, luxury interior fit-outs, as well as planning and construction. YKG also has a sister company, Extension Architecture which is predominantly focused on planning applications for developers and residential projects. YKG intends to appoint an enthusiastic Senior Architectural Technologist to assist with the construction drawings for a large-scale residential development and Equestrian Centre in Epsom, and the construction of a further 60 apartments in Nottingham. YKG is looking for a suitable candidate able to lead the design process, construction details, and interiors of these projects. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing company for a candidate who would like to experience the full spectrum of work involved in the architectural field with excellent future career prospects. The candidate would be expected to have experience in detailed design, a basic understanding of structural steel framing systems, management and co-ordination of external specialists and consultants, contractor liaison and tendering. Our office is located in Battersea in close proximity to Clapham Junction. Candidates Experience and Qualifications: Minimum Degree Level in RIBA/CIAT accredited course. Minimum 4 years UK experience post-graduation. Broad experience in the field working with a variety of project types. Project management interest, assisting in the management and coordination of contractors and external consultants. On-site experience and site management (advantageous) Skills Required: Excellent command of spoken and written English. Interest and practical knowledge of modern construction methods Proficient using AutoCAD , Revit, Google SketchUp; Advantageous knowing Lumion and Photoshop/Illustrator Well organised and composed running of the project programme. Good time management and ensuring timely delivery. The candidate should be flexible and adaptable in high-pressure situations. Candidate s Role and Responsibility Participate or lead in the production of required drawings and documentation necessary to obtain the approval required to start construction of a project. Confidence in dealing with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders. Run projects and produce packages of work with minimal supervision from a senior architect or associate. Monitoring the projects on-site and advising the workforce on all the aspects of the build. Liaison between the construction team, design team and structural engineers on the technical aspects and progress of the project. Assess the quality of design and drawings and ensure the performance exceeds minimum standards

Position Overview: YKG intends to appoint an enthusiastic and well organised Project Management Intern to assist with RIBA Stages 3-7. As a Project Management Intern, you will work closely with our experienced project managers to gain hands-on experience in managing and executing projects within our company. This internship provides a fantastic opportunity for a student or recent graduate to develop project management skills and contribute to projects in and around London. Experience and Qualifications: Degree in Architecture, Project Management, Engineering, Surveying or Construction Excellent command of the English language.
