The role: The Facilities & Compliance Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining safe, compliant, and well-managed facilities across Excalon's sites. Working closely with the Head of Legal & Compliance, the role ensures that statutory obligations are met, facilities run efficiently, and compliance activities are effectively managed and maintained. Responsibilities: Facilities Management Oversee day-to-day management of all Excalon Holdings buildings, offices, and operational sites. Act as the primary contact for facility-related queries, maintenance requests, and contractor liaison. Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption. Maintain facility compliance logs, service schedules, statutory inspection records. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers in line with Excalon and ISO processes. Support the Head of Legal & Compliance in managing the facilities budget. Compliance Coordination Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including HSE, environmental, and utilities sector standards. Maintain compliance evidence libraries. Coordinate internal audits and support external audits including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and client audits. Monitor and track key inspection dates, renewals, and statutory obligations. Support supplier and subcontractor onboarding in line with ISO9001, financial, and SHEQ requirements. Support incident reporting, investigation tracking, and corrective action follow-up. Insurance & Risk Support Assist the Head of Legal & Compliance in managing insurance-related documentation. Support collation of information required for insurance claims and renewals. Maintain incident logs and ensure actions are followed through. Administrative & Reporting Duties Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and KPIs. Maintain document control for compliance-related policies and procedures. About you: Personal Attributes: Proactive and solution-focused. The role: The Vac-Ex Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vacuum excavation equipment to support Excalons operational works. The role exists to accurately expose underground services while minimising the risk of damage, ensuring works are carried out safely, compliantly, and to a high standard. The Vac-Ex Driver will work closely with site teams to deliver excavation activities in line with project requirements, health and safety standards, and company procedures, contributing to efficient site operations and the protection of people, assets, and services. Key Accountabilities: Operate vacuum excavation equipment safely and efficiently to expose underground services. Accurately excavate around live services in accordance with drawings, permits and site instructions. Support site teams to ensure works are completed on time and to the required quality standard. Carry out pre-use checks and ensure equipment is operated within manufacturer guidelines. Work in full compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures and site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). Maintain constant awareness of underground service risks and always take appropriate precautions. Stop work and report any unsafe conditions, service strikes, or incidents immediately. Ensure compliance with permits to dig, traffic management requirements and site rules. Carry out daily vehicle and plant inspections, reporting defects promptly. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the Vac-Ex unit and associated equipment. Ensure correct use and safe storage of hoses, tools, and attachments. Liaise with supervisors regarding maintenance, servicing or repair requirements. Complete all required paperwork accurately, including inspection records, permits and job records. Communicate clearly with supervisors, site managers and operatives regarding progress and issues. Represent the company professionally on all sites and when dealing with clients or third parties. Work cooperatively with site teams to support safe and efficient operations. Follow instructions from supervisors while showing initiative and awareness on site. About The Role: As a Project Manager, you will manage a range of major infrastructure projects ensuring safe delivery, on time and within budget, whilst meeting all legislative requirements. This will require you to plan, manage and evaluate projects throughout their lifecycle and conduct pre-start and post-implementation reviews to embed a culture of continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities: Act as the principal site contact point for Excalon clients and ensure that all activities on site are in accordance with statutory requirements and company policy. Establish a strong understanding of our client's requirements and the impact of the success factors of the project. Ensure you can meet the scope with defined completion criteria and build long term relationships with the client. Produce accurate and attainable programs of work to be issued to the client for approval. Liaise with the programmers & notice management team to schedule the works and allocate resources. Assemble your key team resources to deliver the project(s) and manage and motivate this group to achieve the required results. Identify the dependencies between project activities and define the stages to ensure seamless delivery. Regularly monitor progress at a frequency which enables action to be taken to troubleshoot issues and push the project back on track: Measure revenue, productivity, and quality. Ensure that all necessary contract documentation and reports are accurate and produced on time and are effectively communicated, both internally and externally. Ensure the safe systems of work are implemented and that all necessary documentation is in place, complying with the CDM Regulations ensuring compliance with current legislation and specifications concerning operating practices. Prepare and issue method statements and risk assessments for inclusion into the site safety file. Select and nominate sub-contractors for specific works, ensuring high quality work at a competitive price. Take direct responsibility for Health and Safety of employees, sub-contractors, and visitors on the site. Manage costs, sales, and forecasts of each project in liaison with the Commercial department. Ensure that all project personnel have the appropriate training and competencies for their role. Work in partnership with the SHEQ and HR team to ensure full competency of project resources. Accurately measure, quantify, and order specific material requirements. Liaise with the client on technical issues ensuring quality and consistency of installations. Ensure all documentation is to the highest of standards, and Project Hangover Files are provided to the Client in an efficient time frame. Maximize team performance whilst focusing on a safety-first culture. Ensure delivery of all relevant equipment and materials on site as required. Accurately mark out routes, section lengths and joint bay positions where relevant, conveying this information to the operational delivery teams Ensure excavations comply with health and safety regulations and best practice - ensure the Ensure design criteria is met throughout the project life cycle. Liaise with sub-contractors to ensure all safety documentation is presented and they report to site when required.
