Position: Site Agent - Water Location: United Utilities Region Salary Guide: 65,000 - 75,000 Plus Car/Allowance & Excellent Package Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for United Utilities and they are recruiting for Site Agents to help deliver these projects throughout the North West. Your role will be to manage the design, construction, commissioning and putting to work of contracts to ensure they are completed in the most efficient manner to the specification, within the time required and within the tender estimate without risk to the health and safety of all concerned while ensuring client satisfaction. Key responsibilities will include: Promote exceptional safety and delivery quality standards to direct and subcontracted work force. Ensuring that the BMS is implemented at all stages throughout the project delivery process, from tender handover to final completion. Maintain good client relationships at all levels. Ensuring that sufficient trained personnel are available for the project and that they are aware of their individual responsibilities. Planning projects, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and then monitoring and controlling the delivery of projects Ensuring that appropriately detailed construction plans and method statements are prepared, in place and approved prior to commencement of activities. Ensuring at contract completion that all records referred to in the PEP are complete and available. Ensuring that all site non-conformities are reported and approximate costs identified. Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are managed in a timely and proactive way giving accurate forecast and estimates. Understanding and implementing the quality, safety and environmental policies and targets Being aware of the need to satisfy customer requirements with the aim of enhancing the customers' perception and satisfaction. Maintain an appropriate practical knowledge and appreciation of all technical disciplines associated with delivering water and waste water design and build projects. Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Experience in managing construction projects, ideally within the water industry Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction, commercial, or engineering related discipline. Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to work in close partnership with clients, stakeholders, and end users. Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives. Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE, with ability to negotiate and administer Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety Good working knowledge of all relevant H&S legislation and in particular duty holder relationships of CDM. H&S qualification SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH Member of relevant professional body (e.g. APM, CMI, ICE) Internal & external stakeholder management. Excellent communicator. Position: Senior Site Manager Construction Manager Location: Winchester Salary Guide: 70-75k (Neg DOE), Car/Allowance and excellent benefits package Our Client: Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. The Project: A multi-million-pound upgrade of a Water Supply Works on behalf of Southern Water, supplying drinking water to around 250,000 homes between Southampton and Winchester. The site is a central destination for the proposed Hampshire Water Transfer and Water Recycling Project, which involves building a 40km underground pipeline to transfer purified recycled water and reservoir supplies from the Havant area to the works for final drinking water treatment. The Role: You will report directly to the Project Manager, and the role will include managing Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability with responsibility for managing compliance for all delivered construction work. Manage the local construction delivery team to ensure all construction activities are provided in compliance with the scheme deliverables Responsibilities: Lead and manage site construction teams within designated portfolios to deliver projects within approved budget and to an agreed time frame.
