King & Moffatt Building Services are seeking an experienced Labour Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and performance of labour across multiple projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the right people are deployed to the right projects at the right time, supporting efficient project delivery, productivity, and quality standards across site operations. Working closely with Operations, Project Teams, and Site Management, the Labour Manager will manage labour allocation, monitor performance, and ensure workforce requirements are aligned with project programmes. Job Description • Plan, coordinate, and allocate labour resources across multiple projects in line with programme requirements • Manage and oversee on-site labour and subcontractor performance to ensure productivity and efficiency • Liaise with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Operations to forecast labour requirements and adjust allocations accordingly • Monitor labour productivity, attendance, and performance across projects • Maintain accurate records of labour, plant, and site activity • Support the mobilisation of labour for new projects and phases • Liaise with purchasing teams to ensure plant, equipment, and materials are available to support labour requirements • Conduct site visits to monitor labour performance, quality, and compliance • Support delivery of toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture on site • Assist in resolving site issues relating to labour, resources, and coordination • Ensure all activities are carried out in line with EHSQ policies, procedures, and statutory requirements • Support continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned across projects Qualifications • Minimum 3 5 years experience within construction or building services, with experience managing labour or site operations • Strong organisational and planning skills • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Good understanding of construction site operations and workforce requirements • Ability to work on own initiative and make effective decisions • Full driving licence and access to own transport • Knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar planning tools (advantageous) Additional Information • Experience working on large-scale MEP or building services projects • Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour • Trade background (Electrical or Mechanical) advantageous • Experience working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment At King and Moffatt, we believe in the power of diversity and inclusion to drive innovation, creativity, and success. You will be responsible for ensuring electrical safety and compliance across all site activities. This includes implementing safe systems of work, managing electrical permits, supervising isolation and energization, and ensuring adherence to statutory and company standards. Responsibilities include: Acting as the designated Electrical Authorised Person for the site. Issuing and managing electrical permits to work. Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and company safety procedures. Supervising electrical isolation, testing, and energization activities. Supervising lock off tag off procedures LOTO Conducting inspections and audits of electrical installations. Maintaining accurate records of electrical work and permits. Providing technical guidance and training to team members. Liaising with project managers, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure safe working practices. Qualifications Recognized electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing). Authorised Person Electrical Low Voltage training. Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations and BS 7671. Previous experience as an Electrical Authorised/Appointed Person or similar role. Desirable Skills SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
