Site Agent Tier 1 Contractor Norwich We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major infrastructure project in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile civil engineering scheme, taking responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of works on site. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Managing day-to-day site operations across civil engineering works. Leading Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors, and site teams. Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards. Delivering works in accordance with programme and contractual requirements. Producing and reviewing RAMS, permits, and work packages. Monitoring progress, productivity, and project performance. Managing client and stakeholder relationships on site. Supporting commercial reporting, change control, and cost management. Ensuring accurate site documentation and reporting. Requirements Proven experience working as a Site Agent , Sub Agent , or Senior Site Manager within a Tier 1 contractor environment. Strong background delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Good understanding of NEC contracts. Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour. Ability to lead teams and drive programme delivery. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications. HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile scheme that will enhance the region's transport network and leave a lasting legacy. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for managing construction activities across multiple work packages, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners. Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with health, safety, and environmental requirements. Oversee programme delivery and coordinate construction activities across the project. Monitor progress, productivity, and performance against project targets. Work closely with commercial, engineering, planning, and stakeholder teams. Review and implement construction methodologies and temporary works requirements. Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve site-based issues effectively. Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project. Maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders. About You Proven experience as a Construction Manager on major civil engineering or highways projects. Background working for a principal contractor, ideally a Tier 1 organisation. Strong understanding of NEC contracts and infrastructure project delivery. Extensive knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a complex construction environment. Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification preferred.
