This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, design-led manufacturing business The Role The core elements of the role will cover all aspects of client consultation, produce designs and design proposals and convert sales. The role will also include the requirement to build and nurture client and trade relationships to generate a consistent pipeline of leads. Key responsibilities include: Client consultations where necessary Drawing up designs using CAD software Producing designs and design proposals Liaising with clients to move the project forward and convert to a sale Specifying/ordering the required cabinetry, appliances, worktops Provide additional support in sales and marketing as required by the business including attending trade exhibitions twice a year General administrative support as required. The right candidate will be enthusiastic, driven and happy to work both on their own and as part of a small team, passionate about kitchen design and willing to learn. They should have a great eye for design, have good attention to detail and also have strong interpersonal skills to understand and interpret clients needs and build relationships with them. As part of a small team, you will be willing to pick up additional tasks and be a team player. As the business grows, there may be opportunities to take on more responsibilities. Qualifications and Experience Essential: A minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent vocational qualification. A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar kitchen design or interior design role. Excellent literacy and numeracy skills. Experience of using Office-type software including Word, Powerpoint and Excel (or equivalents). An enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to get stuck in! The role is full time, 5 days a week Monday to Saturday (with one day off during the week), with reduced hours on a Saturday. Part time hours may be considered for exceptional candidates. About the Role: The Cabinet maker will build and finish items of wooden furniture, within the Nelson factory. Examples of furniture that cabinet makers construct include tables, cabinets, chests of drawers, beds and wooden storage units. They understand design concepts and can work to deadlines. The cabinet maker will use a wide range of hand-held and bench tools to cut and shape the wood, join pieces together and construct a final item. These tools include hand saws, hammers, files, sanders, routers, jigsaws, chisels, drills and band saws. They will work as a member of a team of 6 reporting to the shop foreman. Skills & Experience: Previous experience within a similar role. Good level of education. Competency in using hand and power tools. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Being a fast learner. Attention to detail. Time management. Having problem solving skills. Being able to work with a team.
