A leading higher education institution in Central London is seeking an experienced Facilities Officer to provide interim support across multiple campus locations following a recent team departure. This is a hands-on, campus-based role suited to someone with previous facilities, property, estates or workplace support experience who enjoys being visible on site, ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant and operational. The Role Working across four academic buildings within walking distance of each other, you will act as a key on-site presence, supporting the day-to-day running of campus facilities and helping to maintain a safe and professional environment for staff, students and visitors. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out daily building and campus inspections Undertaking health and safety and compliance checks Monitoring the presentation, safety and functionality of facilities Supporting fire safety, emergency procedures and risk management activities Liaising with contractors, suppliers and building management teams Assisting with room setups, office checks and general facilities tasks Responding to facilities-related issues and escalating where appropriate Supporting deliveries, porterage and day-to-day operational requirements Providing a visible and proactive facilities presence across multiple sites About You Applicants should be able to demonstrate: Previous experience within a facilities, estates, workplace, campus or building support role Knowledge of health and safety procedures and building compliance checks Experience working across multiple buildings or sites Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with contractors and site users A willingness to undertake a physically active role involving regular movement between buildings Additional Information Full-time, Monday to Friday, on-site Immediate start preferred Central London locations - Aldgate Approximate 3-month temporary assignment while a permanent recruitment process takes place Opportunity to gain experience within a fast-paced higher education environment We want you to have every opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability and potential; please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustment so that we can help with making the application process work for you.
