Quantity Surveyor Full Time & Permanent Bristol & Surrounding Area Up to 70,000 (doe) + Car Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering? This opportunity will see you being responsible for the commercial management of residential groundwork packages, working on a range of housing development projects across the South West. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing multiple sites, liaising with site teams and maintaining a firm grip on cost control from start to finish. Key Responsibilities will include: Commercial management of multiple groundworks packages for residential developments. Preparing and submitting applications for payment, valuations and variations. Monitoring project costs and progress, ensuring financial targets are met. Negotiating and procuring sub-contract packages. Preparing bills of quantities, schedules of works and cost plans. Managing change control, claims, and final accounts. Liaising closely with site managers, clients, engineers and other stakeholders. Ensuring adherence to contractual terms and company procedures. Identifying risks and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies. Requirements: Proven experience as a QS within the groundworks or civil engineering sector, specifically in residential / housebuilding projects. Minimum of 3+ years in a similar role (not suitable for entry-level or graduate positions). Professional qualification (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar) preferred but not essential. Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contracts. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Full UK driving licence (travel to site and regional offices required). Contract Manager Full Time & Permanent Southwest Wiltshire / East Somerset Up to 80,000 + Car Are you a Contract Manager with experience within groundworks or civil engineering? Interested in joining a company with a proud reputation for doing things the right way? Our client is a well established business and due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced and hands-on Contract Manager to join their operational team and support the delivery of projects across the region. As a Contract Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing multiple live sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. You'll work closely with site teams, clients and internal departments to keep projects running smoothly, while maintaining strong relationships and driving consistent performance across your sites.
