Property Maintenance Officer Location: County Hall, Chichester Contract: 4-month temporary contract (possible extension) Pay Grade: G6 - Admin & Clerical Employer: Aatom Recruitment (on behalf of a local authority) About the Role We are seeking a Property Maintenance Officer to join the Refugee, Resettlement and Migration Service (RRMS) team. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in preparing homes for families resettling from conflict-affected countries. You will work closely with the Property Preparation Officer to ensure accommodation is safe, welcoming, and ready for occupancy. This position involves practical tasks such as: Building and transporting furniture Painting and decorating Basic property repairs Garden maintenance This is an active role requiring physical effort and occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. Key Details Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week Travel: Across West Sussex (vehicle provided) Enhanced DBS: Required Teamwork: You'll work alongside another team member and report to the Property Preparation Officer What We're Looking For Practical knowledge of property maintenance and facilities Good customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to travel across the county Why Join Us?
